On the multiplayer map Blood Gulch on the red base on one of the blocks that are on top there is a smily face. I think it's the one behind the teleporter. I don't know if it's actually new or not but it was cool.

Texture artifact, not a real egg.

Also, on the Tank, there's a pic of a Scorpion.

Not an egg. The tank is called a scorpion. Hence, it has a scorpion on it.

i like the .fortune thingie... don't know what makes an easter egg an easter egg but yeah... for those that don't know, create a new user with the name of .fortune and you will see what i mean... but i'm sure everyone knows that one already.

An easter egg is something intentionally put into the game, generally not related to gameplay, often hidden in plain sight, or found using special tricks, such as the .fortune egg. They're usually jokes, but it's clear when you're looking at one (IE, if you have to turn on night vision or zoom in with the sniper scope or draw over your picture in MSPaint to show people what it is, it's not an egg).

Plus, Bungie's eggs typically have meaning behind them. They're not usually just something cool they throw in for no reason.

The last true easter egg discovered was the 'megg,' and I believe they confirmed that everything had been found after that.

  • 06.01.2004 7:32 PM PDT

Nope, not everything had been found at that time. More eggs have been found since, and more eggs probably exist.

I stand corrected. What exactly had been found since? I probably know of them but got my chronology mixed up.

One example would be that, under the pilot's seat of the Bumblebee is a sign that says "Tuck your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye."

I can't find the smiley 'easteregg', and the thing where you stay in the Pelican at AotCR also doesn't work for me. It's too high to get in it, and i can't stay in the Pelican, so...
please explain how to do it !

Victorious, right as the cutscene ends, just hit X to hop back in. Or, if you prefer button-mashing, choose the level (and difficulty) and just start mashing on X until you see the MC hop back into the Pelican.

Edit: It's not an easter egg, by the way. It's a glitch.

Whoops. I forgot to ask my question.

I'm sure everyone (or at least someone) knows the egg about going into the PoA on Legendary, hopping on the container in the back of the cryo chamber room, etc.

Well, maybe not. I need to ask my question, so maybe someone can figure this out for me.

Start the PoA on Legendary. When it begins run to the back and hop onto one of the (I think it's yellow) containers in the back. If I remember correctly, you jump on one to get to another. You're supposed to crouch there for at least ten (it may be fifteen, so try that just in case) seconds. Once you do that, just head to the Bridge as usual. Once you get to the Bridge, you're supposed to go get your ammo and go kill Captain Keyes. (I hope I'm explaining this right...) Then you just hide for about thirty seconds or so. You know the room where the Marines come out of to try to kill you? It's opened and stays opened. I've gotten just right to the door, but I always die before I can get in it.

This leads me to my question: What, exactly, is in that room? I always die before I get to it.

Actually I know one where you DO need to zoom in withthe sniper scope to see, and it IS an egg.
