I have downloaded the halo dedicated server to my computer. I have been doing a bunch of research and I've come to find out it's easier if you have to computers. Well what do you know. I do!! So I downloaded it to the other one (both on a router) and I cant find it. Will someone with the smarts please help me. Just tell me from the beginning what to do. Don't know how to change ports and all that stuff. Any help will be highly appreciated!

Both on the same router? I haven't used the dedicated server much, but I might be able to help. Please post the make and model of your router, and whether or not your computers have the same OS.

This is easier that I make it sound, and it wont take long either :)

Open internet explorer (or whatever you use) and type 192.168.1.1 in the address box. Another window will come up and ask you for a name and password. Leave the name blank and type 'admin' (no quotes) in as the password. That will open up the router settings. Go to Applications and Gaming and you will see port range forwarding, port triggering and maybe UPnP Forwarding (universal plug and play, this configures the router automatically but isn't available on all of them.)
(note: do not turn on DMZ. That is Demilitarized Zone and will expose your computer directly to the internet.)
If you don't have UPnP use port range forwarding. That will forward all ports between whatever two you choose. Find which port the dedicated server is using (in the guide maybe?) and put that in the Start and End boxes, select Both in the drop down and put in the IP address of whichever computer has the server on it.

You'll probably need to use a static IP for that. To set up a static IP, go to Control Panel> Network Connections and right-click on your internet connection.
Then click Properties and scroll down until you find Internet Protocol. Click on that and click properties, then select Use the Following IP address and enter the numbers you wrote down. Close all of that out and go back to the Linksys settings window. Go to Status and make sure local DHCP is on. Then set the Start IP address as one more that the routers (if you put in 192.168.1.1, put in 192.168.1.101), and set the number of addresses to however many computer you have on it (or however many you can put on, probably four).

Your have now forwarded your ports and should now be able to find your server.

Also make sure the Dedicated server is set to show up on the public server list.

Hope that helps.
