alright i have one question i have been trying to make sense out of for a while now. Im decent at halo 2, i usually go positive and get somewhere around top kills, however when i play with my one friend/clan mate , he always gets like 20 kills a game and i go negative and finish with bottom kills. i feel like the one advantage he has is that he knows where the other teams going to spawn and he gets there first, but i know that cant be the only reason for me doing horrible when i play with him.i usually get killed alot because i get spawned like right in the middle of where the other team is and far away from my team. we are both level 20 so its not like im playing other teams way above my skill level. Any one have any idea what i could do to improve, even if your feeding me the basics of halo again, maybe thats what i need to hear. thanks

try and memorize the spawn points and be aware that an enemy could be coming from that area..... i always expect to see an enemy around every corner, that way im not caught off guard...

Also, expect that the opponent will spawn behind you. It happens a lot to me...

All I can say is just practice with that teamate ask him where they spawned or in other words TAIL HIM lol I have the same problems when I play with my friend like just the other day I played a THC game and went positive 16 with a running riot then when i played with him i went negative 8.

it could be you two play a similar style, and he is just flat out better at it, leaving u do die, and him to finish kills off

You probably just have a problem with consistency like me. There's been times where I've owned kids who are sponsored to play Halo 2. On the flip-side there's been times where I got beat bad by one guy and his 3 Guests in Team Training. I have no idea why...sometimes I'm good sometimes I'm not, I wish I knew why 'cause it can be kind of frustrating.

Knowing that I can do better but not being able to.

Exactly. That's what I've been doing lately. lol One day I'll be doing awesome, then the next you'd think I just started playing Halo.

Whenever I have this issue, I try to find something I can easily do well with. That usually means putting the sniper and trying to get ahold of a sword. After a little burst of kills I generally get back into a groove and will be able to use all the weapons again.

Take it from this guy people, he knows what he's talking about.

No offense, but it sounds like you and your friend need to work on teamwork.

I feel your pain....just getting back into this Live stuff but I have been playing HALO since it first came out. In SysLink I actually do well against guys in their high 20's but put us on live in a group and I get OWNED.

When playing Slayer or Hardcore I think thay using the buddy system really works alot. Always try and stay near him, or someone else that way you have a better chance of killing opponents and also surviving.
