"Rules build up fortifications behind which small minds create satrapies. A perilous state of affairs in the best of times, disastrous during crises."

You cannot melt a tank down with a flamethrower, but you CAN cook the guys inside it. Fire doesn't have to burn through the Mjolnir armour, it just needs to raise the temperature inside the suit to the point where it'll cook you alive.

Ok, Bungie is giving us SO much new stuff. In halo 2 we got quite a few new weapons and vehicles. It seems like Bungie is just giving us a dump truck fulla stuff to keep us playing for years. Th flamethrower seems pointless at first but I think It will find it's place once the game comes out. haha It almost seems like there are more NEW weapons than OLD ones if you count equipment and grenades. I think a lot of things are being thrown in to just goof around with in maybe Forge or something. BTW Forge is gonna be OSM!!!

There is a certain point of tolerance that should never be reached.

I haven't read this whole forum, but I've read enough to see the rampant arguing among us brothers. rejoice for his name is uh.. I mean I have a solution. Has anybody noticed the big C next to that 2200 for the FT? thats Celsious ( I know I spelled it wrong cuz I suck). yeah. I've read all the novels but I might be wrong to say that 2200C is rather hot. therefor killing anything caught in its way. YAY!

everyone knows why UNSC put the flamethrower back in right? and the addition of the incendiary grenade? THE FLOOD!!! no one has seemed to talk about the usefullness that these two new weapons for halo 3 will bring. obviously bungie is not going to acknowledge that the flood is going to be there however by announcing these weapons, we are in for another battle with the flood and the flamethrower is going to be the human variant to the sentinel beam, and of course there are two weapons that i know of that bungie hasn't announced as of yet, the excavator unless that is now the mauler (dual wielded shotgun [brute]) and of course that big ass plasma looking gun in the EGM mag, which just might be a plasma turret (support weapon) but then again every weapon we have the covenant have some sort of variant of, so i wonder what variant the covenant are going to come up with for our spartan laser. anyways that is just my opinion on weapons, but the flamethrower and incendiary grenades are gonna be very useful against the flood.

If you ever had an action replay for the xbox you can play halo one on the library with a flamethrower. It destroys flood real good like. :( too bad that it only had two fuel canisters to use though.

The Flamethrower has near equivalent power to the m90 shotgun, it lasts longer cuz it has gasoline canisters for ammo, most likely the second best to the flood and you get to see awesome animations of grunts, brutes or any enemy ON FIRE!

if u dont believe me , maybe u should check CMT version of Halo 1 PC, its a Halo CE CE= Halo Custom Edition Combat Evolved, and its pretty effective against the flood if u ask me

I was wondering when they would if ever make the flamethrower. The grenades actually sound like they will work very well but the flamethrower is going to be hard to use outside of defensive game types.

I don't know if someone already said this, but has anyone else translated the flamethrower's designation "m7057?" The numbers, when translated from l337 is "TOST," or "TOS-T." Get it, Toasty!!! the reason I noticed this was a similar designation was given tho the flamethrower in Marathon

the grenade is beast! and if the flamethrower does damage even after shooting (fire sticks to target and keeps burning), then it is gonna be insane beast.

the only problem I'm going to have with the fire aspect is when im in some confined space with both teams going crazy, and some kid tosses a -blam!- incendiary and torches everyone including his teamates...

Ugh. There's a point where a game can get too much equipment, too many weapons, or just too much STUFF to manage. And Halo 3 sure is getting mighty close to that point, in my opinion. Ever play Project Snowblind? Yeah, didn't think so...but that game was so overloaded on weapons and with such a useless interface that it was pointless to try to utilize them all. Uh-Oh.

i dont think so because halo 2 barely introduced any new weapons so halo 3 needs more

I don't see these things in the game, did they get cut? Or are they in there just only in single player?

Thanks,
Evan
