I didn't even know I had one until after the game and I realized I didn't die. It was in rumble pit on tombstone. This is only my 2nd or 3rd week playing on XBL, so I'm pretty happy. I didn't use the sniper at all. I pretty much just picked up all the overshield spawns and used duals or the shotty in and around the computer room.

Yeah. Figure 150-200 games a week at 20-30 games a day at roughly 5 mins a game, it's really not that much. I'm figuring about 2 hours a day, maybe a little more, but I just got XBL and was a little addicted ;). I'm learning to "pace myself" now.

The Rumble Pit games don't show up in your stats, so 500 games is LESS than you've actually played. I don't think you can do ranked games in five minutes...maybe ten or fifteen. Either two hours per day is a bit optimistic, or you've had XBL longer than you recall! LOL

All games. Ranked, unranked, and even your arranged games count towards your total. Most of the games I have played are team slayer or swat, which last 5-10 mins and never go past 10 and often closer to 5 depending on the map. Regardless, I am just posting here to boast a bit about my first overkill, which I was pretty excited about since I have never gone better than Runnin Riot before, and you are ragging me about how much I play...

5 mins a game?

Most games have a time limit of 12 mins, and probably last between 10-12 mins, plus the time to find matches is probably generally 1-3 minutes.

Try and read through the entire thread before replying next time...

The only games I have seen that last that long are Big Team Battle, etc. If you read further, most of the games I play are pretty quick (Team SWAT, Team Slayer, Rumble Pit, H2 Challenge, etc).

Am I the only person who doesn't wait around their TV in between games?

Actually its quite believable in the lower levels. From levels 1-20ish most of my games were pretty much 5 mins since I'd either just get 25/50 kills that fast or I'd demolish my opponents early in the game for them to quit.

You're right -- all games count. Not ragging, dude, just tweakin' you a bit. ;-)

  • 08.14.2007 12:44 PM PDT

I believe 5 minutes a game is conceivable at lower ranks. I haven't taken the time to check your stats but as you get higher you can expect to start using most if not all of the time limit in a bunch of your games...thats when you get to decide if you wanna play less games or spend more than 2 hours a day online.

  • 08.14.2007 1:13 PM PDT

Si-!

Wow, that's a lot of games in a short amount of time. I played about 200 during the beta and I thought I was being ridiculous. I don't care though. I envy you. My 360 is broken right now and I can't play at all. Good job on the overkill. Never gotten one.

That's not bad. My first overkill wasn't totally awsome... it was riding around in a gauss hog gunner seat in BTB Slayer...

Though one game that was fun was my first ever Halo 2 Vista game, where I scored a total of 38 kills and 3 deaths... with a best spree of 30. For anyone who is into this kind of stuff, I scored 11 acheivements in that one game alone.

Thanks. I'm not a very good player (sub 50% win, level 18, 0.9 K/D ratio), but I feel that I'm improving. The game almost feels like a fluke, like an average pitcher throwing a perfect game, but I'll take it, lol.
