Subject: This happens a little too much for me.

When I play team snipers, almost every game I play the average level of the opposing team is at least three levels higher.

I still get a lot of kills (even though I would still most likely lose), but it's just not right how this keeps happening; and I'm just wondering if this keeps happening to everbody else too.

that is so true yet you'd never hear anyone admit it... the ranking system only means how good u are with a team(a team u play with when u got that rank) it dont mean ur any good when u go in by urself9even though u mite b, u mite even b better than ur rank)....

so basically if u play with the same other 3 ppl then the rankin system makes sense n is a true rpresentative of the players "team skill". a rank doesn't show the individuals skill though, that is where the rankin system is at fault n needs sumfin done to fix it(hopefully it will b fixed by the time H# comes out i hope)

This happens to everyone, but it's not as bad as you think. Before you make any assumptions before you're going into the game you have to check to see if the levels are actually ballanced. Let's say your a level 27 and you're going into a game of Team Slayer and the ranks end up like this:

Your Team:
You - Lvl 27
Player - Lvl 28
Player 2 - Lvl 29
Player 3 - Lvl 31

Opposing Team:
Player 1 - Lvl 33
Player 2 - Lvl 26
Player 3 - Lvl 25
Player 4 - Lvl 29

At first you see a level 33 and wonder "wtf? i'm raped" right? But if you actually take the time to check out the rest of the team they're usually abnormally low levels compared to the 33 or even yourself. Thus evening out the level difference between the two teams. This is usually the case for most games, but they're are those rare occasions where everything is out of whack. Say you (a lvl 27) and your party of lvl 29 buddies against are up against a group of 31 & 32's. Does that seem fair? The answer is no. But they're are always factors that contribute to these kind of things happening that most people pass aside. Although your rank says your a 27, you could be a game away from a 28 and not know it. Plus that team of 31's and 32's could be a game away from loosing a level (or even two in some instances of lag). Factors of true playerskill (as mentioned by TokenBlackGuy4U above), and the players and parties avalible at the time will also contribute to your final matchup. Just think of it like that time your were playing in Big team Battle (or BTB Skirmish), and it was a 7v8. That was caused because of the lack of players avalible in that skill range at that time, so it is basicly the same thing when you're unevenly matched up in a game. It is caused by the lack of players online and is usually used by the game as a last resort of keeping you waiting. So there it is in a nutshell, it is all I know from my experiences, so feel free to corect me, I just hope it helps people understand the system a little bit better.

Some days I play and everyone is higher than me, other days they are the same level as me, and sometimes they are lower than me. I like it when they are higher than me just because if I win I get a lot more experience. When I lose I don't lose as much xp. All cases have their ups and downs depending on how you look at them.
