I rather fight throwing grenades than using dual weinding. you can only use one handed weapons for dual weilding and for that to be effective, you have to be somewhat close to your target. instead, grenades can be launched at far distances and cause instant powerful damage, much more effective i have to say. But dual weilding is effective at close range, so it might be effective when defending bases at close unexpected duels.
What do you prefer?

defenintly duel wielding. its like, 11 times cooler, and can be very powerful. not to say its hopefully not gonna be so FREAKIN ANNOYING as grenades are. like..when you put on infinitie grenades, alota times i see people running around throwing grenades...that gets freakin annoying.

so hopefully duel wielding will cut down on the annoyingness.
and its 11 times cooler...

You'll just have to plan your attack before you go through with it, that's all.

wellit depends on the situation. grenades are good to weaken the shields and then finsh them off with a melee or just shoting them. dual weilding is good because u can do more damage when shooting. it all depends on the situation

I read somewhere that dual-weilding is better for new and unskilled players and that "vets" will more than likely use single weapons, at least in MP. But its prolly just situational i would assume.

Oh yea definently I think everyone will go crazy for it at first. I know I will but as soon as my friends start talking trash thats when I'll decide on how useful it is.

Dual weilding is gonna cause players to think more in the battlefiled and give them more options in combat.

Isn't it possible to quickly switch to your singl hand weapon and then switch back? Or am I misinterpreting how the system works?

In order to duel wield you need to press the "Y" button to pick up a secondary, one handed weapon when you're over it, and press "X" to just pick up a weapon to put in your inventory. To drop your secondary weapon press "Y" and to drop your main weapon press "B"
