I was just wondering how the hell I am supposed to have fun with H2 Vista when the Gold servers are constantly empty, there are never more then 50 people online, and most of those people are playing some crappy custom game?

If I am wrong PLEASE tell me, because I hope this has nothing to do with my router configuration or area of the world.

I really don't care that much, I just need more of a choice than 5 servers, half of which are clan only invite servers, and only 50-75 people being on at any one time. After playing it on the xbox for 3 years, I thought this would freshen it up. Perhaps I thought wrong?

Some good ones that are open to anybody are the XF clan servers and A001 X Clan Server. Those Over some good gametypes.

If this was released for XP im willing to bet there would be many many more people. My gold expired after not being able to connect for the first 3 weeks and the silver servers get boring so fast. Is it possible to sell only enough copies to make 50 people on? Call of Duty 1 has more people.

Hrm... pay $90 for a complete game or get my $40 back...

That's strange, NONE of the CLAN servers on my list are invite only.

And remember.....just because you don't see a server on the list with a lot of people doesn't mean it isn't there. The lobby does NOT show servers that are full like that Gamespy lobby in Halo 1 does.

They're decision to make it Vista-only was a disasterious one. The OS is too young and Live may have been the bomb on console but the PC platform is WAY different and already has most of the features of Live for free. I hope the numbers improves as more people get the game.

I hope it doesn't. I want Microsoft to learn from this lesson and realize Live doesn't belong on Windows. Ever. They need to stick capitalizing on the consoles; I don't want their greed to spread to PC games as well.

I wonder how much more money they couldve made on the release date if there was no Gold LIVE fee and it was for XP...

I totally agree with you. The way I see it, I've already had to buy an upgrade for Vista, there's no way I'm going to subscribe to a gold account when there are other FPS that allow you to play for free with all its features. I've heard of people paying an online access fee to play MMORPGs, not really for FPS. Besides, I had my system ready for Halo 2 at the 1st release date, but they just kept pushing it back. Expecting to play a new game, I ended up getting hooked on another popular FPS.
