Hello, I just bought Halo 2 Vista for my Windows Vista and it will not install.
I have a ASUS EAX1600PRO SILENT 512MB DDR2 graphics card. And it works fine for all other games I own.
(All other requirements meet the minimun for my pc aswell.)
When I attept to install it displays a message telling me my graphics card is not working correctly:

I have almost the exact same GFX Card just not 512MB VRAM.
Try the normal ATI drivers instead of the ASUS drivers, they work fine for me.
PS. the latest ATI Catalyst is 7.8
And read the stickies...

Go into control panel and open up the screen that shows your Windows Experience Rating and look at the setting for your graphics. Are they at 0 or do they have a number like 5.3 or something? Install the drivers like Caboose said, and then on the rating screen click on the button to have Vista re-rate your system.

I can't install Halo 2 as well, however I have a different problem. Once I configure how I want to install it (to the default location of microsoft games) the installer dialog box vanishes and it doesn't install. I waited and waited for something to come up and nothing did. I've done research on the issue and was told that the "secondary logon" service has to be on...well it is on and I still can't install Halo 2. I am running vista home premium if you were wondering.

Can someone please respond or help me out? I wasted money on a game I can't even install.

edit: nevermind I found the fix here: http://www.softdon.net/news.php?readmore=955
