I mean, really, player POV moves like a snail despite my mouse set on Insane. Any suggestions?

From what I've heard, the higher your FPS, the more "mouse lag" you will experience.

If your mouse is a logitech, your in luck because you can get software that will detect your computer started a game and make your mouse run smoother and faster in-game.

Or you could get a 360 controller and enjoy that near perfect console experience with us controller users ;)

No one likes a smart ass.....especially another smart ass!

I started out using the mouse and keyboard to try to stay true to it being on computer. I found that the mouse was just too sluggish, so I plugged in my 360 controller and it works fine. Yes the controller has aim assist, but that really only helps the people that can't aim to begin with. I know the purists will never use the controller, but I'm not a purist.

Like I keep saying.

Its my game i'll do what I please!

And for the rare occasion I'm sniping its mouse time ;)

Or you could use it all the time so you don't have to clutch when somebody's two feet away.

I suppose I would do the same; that seems reasonable considering the mediocre support for the mouse and keyboard.

There's a simple fix for the mouse lag in the sticky, check Iggwilv's post.

No. My mouse is a Logitech at least. Thanks for the replies everybody.

UPDATE: Tried Iggwilv's trick, no effect. Apparently you are all misunderstanding me; the problem with the mouse isn't stuttering, it's the fact that sensitivity is very, very low. Even on Insane setting, it still barely moves.

have you turned up the sensitivity on your mouse? your mouse alone not halo2. my logitech mx518 mouse has 2 buttons to change the dpi settings up 1600.

My mouse is a cheap Logitech, and I have the Windows mouse settings already at max!

Do what I did

Get off your ass, make $70 and buy a G7 (theres other choices too) After that I have no problems with sensitivity in H2V anymore.

Actually, I have a G7, and I still have problems. I refuse to use my mouse because H2V forces pointer acceleration. Until this is removed, I will be sticking to my 360 controller.

or you can go for the MX518 still its a gaming rated mouse but cheaper.

I have a couple of thousand on hand right now, but why spend $70 to fix something that isn't broken? Except in HALO 2 Vista of course.

I was kind of guessing that this was enabled, but pointer acceleration is probably what's killing my HALO 2 Vista experience.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I have the same problem, only intermittently.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

I find I like it at 800 DPI with a 1-3 sensitivity depending on the day.
