Fame that matters. XD
Who would ask for a Halo Pro's signature?
Money is nice but does not = Fame.
Lots of people have made videos that thousands of people have watched but not downloaded on Youtube My Brother included.
MTV? Many random non famous people have been on TV before. Such as this guy a cab driver who wandered into the news while on air by accident and was mistaken for someone who was being interviewed on that show.
Heh, you're really grasping at straws now, aren't you?
You can't just say "fame that matters." You have no factual basis for this standpoint and can twist it to anything to support your argument. Apparently your idea of "fame that matters" is "any fame as long as it isn't Halo-related" or "any fame that supports my argument and no fame that damages my argument."
Plenty of people have asked for signatures of Halo pros. There's videos of them signing shirts, controllers, etc. People respect the fact that they excel in a highly competitive skill-based activity and as such ask for their autographs.
I never said the fact that they had money made them famous. It's the fact that they have been so well recognized and respected by sponsors and organizations that they can make money through them. You're not going to get sponsorships and quarter million a year contracts if you aren't well known.
Lots of people have made videos on YouTube, but not many reach the degree of success that videos like, say Walshy's montage, have. Not as many were as anticipated before their release. Also, I never said that this alone makes him famous, it merely attributes to the fact that he is well-known and recognized.
This argument I found particularly funny. Accidentally winding up on television isn't even remotely comparable to being sought out and interviewed by major television networks. Red Bull did a short documentary on Walshy which was aired on USA Networks, TSquared has been interviewed and talked about on MTV, Zyos has been featured on MTV, countless other pros have been on USA Networks, etc.
Just because pros are not A-List celebrities doesn't mean they haven't achieved a degree of fame amongst their community. They are the best of their trade and known amongst their peers. Tons and tons of people know who Walshy is, know who the Ogres are, know who Strongside is, etc. Like it or not, pros have achieved a certain degree of fame you will probably never come close to achieving.
Heh you bothered to make a long huge post about something that was quite clearly a joke sir.
That is the part of the argument I find funny. Grasping at straws? That would be possible if I was really trying to prove what I was saying.
As for the rest of the thread. I say unless you can all provide a link to the game on your account. Your account being the account which is linked to your gamertag then it did not happen.
