I apologize in advance if this has already been addressed in a previous thread that I managed to miss, but has anyone ever considered that maybe the name SPNKr on the rocket launcher has something to do with the elements used in the rockets themselves? (S=Sulfur, P=Phosphorus, N=Nitrogen, Kr=Krypton) I don't know about krypton, but the other three are all highly reactive as far as explosions go...

You do realise Krypton is an actual element on the periodic table?

Lol, that would be a pretty lame abreviation...gets rid of a whole two letters.

Just short for Spanker. That's about it. It was also on the Marathon RL...maybe you can find a real meaning for it there. I doubt you will.

If it was an abreviation, why would it have four caps and one small letter? That doesn't really make any sense. (And I mean...come on...even if it's meant to be funny, why would you paste something that's short for "Spanker" in large white letters on a UNSC weapon?)

Don´t you mean HEAP? High Expolsive Armor-Pircing?

And I think it is an apperviation for Spanker.

But mind you Sulphur is produced in exploives, Phospurus is used in Present day rockets and Nitrogen is highly explosive.

Not sure about the Krypton. Maybe .

halopedia

The 102mm High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) shaped charge can be fired from the UNSC M19 SSM Rocket Launcher

Also, Spanker is just the nickname because SPNKr is labeled the ammo casing. the article doesn't say what it stands for :(

Win!

Anyways, it's just "Spanker". Even on Marathon, it's called the SPNKr, and when I got killed by someone on net play it said I was "spanked". Then the next time it happened it said I "rode (insert player's name here) rocket!" O_o
