why are you, for possibly the greatest game of all time, giving away 2-3 spoilers every week? the only reason I can surmise is that your afraid that Halo 3 isn't anywhere near as good as you want it to be, and you are hyping it as much as possible so more people buy it. if thats not the case you guys must simply be idiots then. we don't need any more -blam!- information on Halo 3, its little over a month from release and thus we need to know nothing more.
Did you release a torrent of Campaign info and screen shot's of Halo 2 a month before release? no. so why do it now? it is illogical. The E3 trailer was bad enough, and now another Campaign Screen shot? and encase you're wondering why the E3 trailer did more bad then good, you confirmed stuff we didn't need to know. example, Arbiter and Chief working together. Awe striking explosion when that Scarab goes up in flames. and numerous moments that would have best been experienced in our own living room, not our computer screen's months before we get to play it.
Now, say you didn't release these spoilers that do nothing but hurt Halo 3's game play. when a player gets to the battle with the Scarab, they would have been sitting in front of their T.V with their jaw on the floor in amazement as the rockets deformed and blew craters out of the Scarabs Armour. now, all we are going to get is "Hmm, looks exactly like I saw it in that trailer, cool" as opposed to the above. the same with the pelican's coming out of the Covenant Cruiser, had no one seen the spoiler bound trailer people would have been sitting on the edge of their seat's with adrenaline pumping through them as they saw explosion's and the awesome camera angle's as the pelican's dodged incoming fire and rocketed to earth.
All I'm saying is you need to just stop with any and all information pertaining to Halo 3 full stop. we do NOT need to know anything more then we already do, because the more you know the less surprised and awestruck you are.
you know, after reading your post I to feel in some ways Bungie are giving away to much about the campaign, and I totally get what you are saying about the whole scarab encounter, I think it would of been best to of not revealed or mentioned it at all until the game is realised and then we the player have the exciting task of taking it down, one thing that I thought was odd was how Bungie were openly explaining in the latest pod cast the best way to take it down and discussing tactics and AI behaviours and in general just giving away a few things that I would of liked to have discovered when playing it through, the only reason I can think of as to why they are revealing this much about campaign is that there must still be allot of cool stuff still not revealed ( I hope ) but with all the recent things they have shown us and written about in updates it almost seems as if they have shown as nearly everything, but I’m sure that’s not the case. The new trailer for example new trailer witch was practically like a compilation of game play footage and as I said I just felt (although it all looked great) a little concerned that it might give away to much. However I think in some ways Bungie has the most to prove in its campaign for halo 3 after halo 2, and is eager to show fans that may have been disappointed by certain elements halo 2’s campaign that this one will be on a much grander more impressive scale! Saying that though I can't wait to watch the huge explosion of hot plasma and scorched debris light up the screen on my 30inch HD Samsung as I finish off that beast of a covenant vehicle with a well placed rocket!!! From what I gather there is more then one encounter with a scarab In halo 3, so perhaps there will be more things thrown into the mix witch each fight that we don’t know about yet. Still think the game is shaping up awesomely though from what I have seen!
I have an idea if you dont want to see information or spoilers... how about you dont look for it? Stop coming to bungie.net, or ign.com, or listening to podcasts, or watching e3! Then you wont have to see any spoilers, or hear things about gameplay. From what i can see they havent been playing commercials on tv all day long, or plastered halo 3 everywhere in stores. They just now put out the soda... So to the normal person not looking for the game they would just now be finding out about the game, nothing would be spoiled.
Stop complaining when you can do something about it
Bungie is doing a great job, and im more then excited
Sigh…somehow I don’t think you read my reply to that post properly, in no way was I complaining about the amount of things revealed about the game, I was just a little concerned (as I said) that Bungie MIGHT be showing us to much, However in fairness, yes I don’t have to read the updates or listen to the pod casts if I don’t want certain parts of the campaign revealed, and as I said I think the game is shaping up excellently. why don't you read my comment before assuming I’m complaining or at least read through it properly, the original poster I replied to was the guy who was complaining not me, I’m not knocking Bungie at all, I think there doing a awesome job making the game. And as I said before I’m sure there are still lots of things yet to be shown when we finally get to play it and I to am excited about the game. Maybe you should read my post again then you will get what I was trying to say.
ok... Ill cut you some slack ahahaha
I read the original posters message, and then, ill admit, i only skimmed through your's... By the time i got half way through it i gave up and figured it followed suit with the original post. I still believe that if anyone has any gripes about seeing to much that it is thier own fault, but i will oppologize for lumping you in completly. Forgive me

Tell me, how can you avoid spoilers if they apear at the front -blam!- page? how can you avoid spoilers if a threads title itself is a spoiler? (i.e "how do you kill tartarus" threads right after Halo 2 was released) I come to Bungie.net to pass time until Halo 3, I should be able to do this without having the game ruined by people releasing every little detail they can DAYS before it gets released. tell me, why the -blam!- cant they just let us get the game in the 30 odd days before its released instead of telling us everything? its just like what frankie said in the original weekly updates. something along the lines of this "part of me is like "oh man, this is going to be frikken awsome" and the other part of me is like "aww man, I just read 20 pages of spoilers"" see what I mean? with Halo 2 thehy did a far better job of keeping the game secret, hell, we didnt even know the arbiter or even that we could play as him. (until all the reviews that spoiled that aswell) as you can see, it is far better having mystery then it is to know everything.
yes, i agree. i like coming to bungie.net in order to get some insight as to the progres of the game and see some screenshots of new multiplayer levels, but mostly to read about the humpday chalenges. however i do sometimes feel that too much info is released, but i think bungie releases due to the high demands of the children that have no patience and are spoiled and want spoilers to add to their spoiledness in their spoiled world. Damn spoiled brats. I am looking forward to campaign more that multiplayer (cos i into the storyline and can't wait to experience the ending and play through it the way i played through Halo CE and Halo 2 = not knowing anything about the campaing prior to playing it because i never knew bungie.net existed prior to playing Halo CE and didn't visit bungie.net that often prior to the release of Halo 2 except to see screenshots and drool over the graphical improvments) and don't read too much into the info about campaign. I usualy breeze through the info that may contain spoilers about campaign but dig into aspects of campaing like the article on 4 player online co-op = hellz yeah, and how it plays like Halo CE in reguards to the fact a player could die and not cause both players to respawn at the beginning of the last checkpoint. If i felt it was a spoiler, i breezed through it and moved on to the content i wanted to get more info on. But yeah, i think bungie is revealing too much about campaign to apease the masses of impatient children who wants to spoils their gaming experience of Halo 3.
