I'm in Moscow. It's nice right now. No volcanoes, no bugs, not hot, breezy. My girlfrined went for a ride on our bikes today through Victory Park. It's really nice outside.

One time this jackass in science class broke off the metal end of a pencil, catapulted it on a rubber band, and hit me directly in the left eye. I had to wear an eye patch over it for a couple days.

The only cool part was that the eye patch made me look kind of cool. The pain wasn't cool.
It actually didn't hurt at first but an hour after it happened it started burning like hell. My parents had to pick me up and take me to the eye doctor and I had a severely cut Cornea.
Not to mention how bad all those painkillers made me feel.

They drilled holes in my gums without giving me a pain-killer. I was awake and alert.

I have an extremely high pain tolerence but the most painful thing was when I kept playing football for 5 weeks on two dislocated hips... After a while I didn't even notice it until one morning I woke up and I couldn't walk because they were so sore and swollen. Needless to say I didn't practice that week, but be damned sure I was going to play in the game.

I was being pulled on my rollerblades by a friend on a bike with a rope. I complain that he is slow and he decides to ride through a huge patch of gravel. I fell. It hurt. It got infected. I have a keyloid scar (spelling may be bad on keyloid.). It is all raised up and wierd looking.
oh yeah I could pick chunks of flesh off my arm. It was wierd.

Oh, please. I used to have ear infections every day when I was a toddler, and I say having holes drilled into your mouth hurts bad. (the worst thing from my personal experince, and I know that people have suffered far worse)

It is stange that when I got my wrist bone pushed back into place I didn't flinch, and when a nail on a board went deep into my foot I pulled it out with little pain. But when I had someone pop this massive pimpled on the top of my lip it hurt like an animal.

One of the worst pains I've felt was the nurse trying to inject saline into a vein (to keep the hole open in case of IV) and missing the vein.

Well, it wasn't all that bad, I guess. She got it in the muscle, though. It felt like gasoline was poured onto my arm and lit on fire. On the plus side, my right arm's forearm was impenetrable a week later.

I'm left-handed, you perverts.

i've had surgery on my toe for ingrown toenails about 4 times and holy crap those needles hurrrt! and not just one needle, like 8 in one toe, very painful, and forgetting to take your T3 dosage doesn't help it either.
had surgery on my wrist because i broke it once BMXing then fell on it another two times before i figured out something was wrong.
When i was reallly young i was jumping off curbs and went over the bars and landed on my chin and got 24 stiches and a chipped tooth....that sucked. especially the being awake part and the doctor putting a needle right in the wound.
annnnnd i've ate -blam!- countless times on my bmx and motocross bike.....going about 30mph and being bucked off is scarey...not too painful....being run over and landed on on the other hand is painful. getting the wind knocked out of you isn't very pleasant either.

I am person with a relatively high pain tolerance, but i can remember one. Lye burn. Those two words should make anyone who has ever experianced it scream in terror.

Also has anyone ever has an allergy test (AKA zip-zaps)? I found out I was allergic to bees a few years ago. What they had to do was find out exactly what type of bees i was allergic to, so what they did was give me a series of shots . Now i can handle shots... but not 50 of them in the same arm. They drew a graph on my arm, and they started. They put 5 shots (5 different kinds of bee venom) in one row of boxes. Then they come back in 5 minutes later and do it again, and they repeat 10 times. I couldnt feel my arm for another week after that.

My left ear drum broke once when I was younger...really really really painful. I can't hear very well out of that ear now either. People tend to get mad at me because they think I'm ignoring them, but it's just because they're on the wrong side of my head. Some frequencies really annoy me now too...For example the sound coins or keys make as they hit each other.

Physical pain is fleeting, but mental anguish can scar you for a lifetime.

Mine would be emotional pain. Like the death, or loss, of a loved one. I'll stop there.

As for physical pain, I'd say post surgery on my clavicle (collarbone) was pretty bad. I couldn't sleep for -blam!-. And I couldn't lay still. It was more uncomfortable than anything else. A metal plate and eight screws will do that to ya.

I'm surprised that despite the above quoted posts, only physical pains have been shared. Are y'all afraid to admit that you can be hurt?

well, now that you mention it... my worst "pain" was when my girlfriend left me. she was my first, and so far last. that hurt more than a rebar to the knee ever will.

there, i just revealed my soft, sqishy side. happy now? (here come the taunts...)
