I voted for the Jackal because:
Grunts in packs are actually quite good fighters, especially in Legendary. Also, they are the only ones in the majority of the game that throw plasma grenades. Grunts also come out with some hiliarious dialog and the way they move is so damn funny.
Elites are the main thing that stand in your way when it comes to the Covenant. They are strong, quick and sometimes quite cunning and unpredictible (for example: In legendary elites sometimes come charging round corners when you think they'll just hide). Elites too have funny dialog
Hunters are simply show-offs. They are huge, they have a powerful fuel rod for their weapon and they are quite intimidating on first contact. Especially when they try and melee you with that giant metal arm. The thing is, after all that, they are really easy to kill! One shot to the orange areas with a pistol or sniper rifle and they're down for the count! Really puts the phrase "Bigger they are, Harder they fall" into practice.
Flood Human and Elite Forms are great because you know they will try and kill you no matter what. It may be annoying when they decapitate you with a rocket launcher from close range but you remember that it's their nature to do so, so its Ok. The individual doesn't matter, its the survival of the parasites' existance that does. Therefore they will sacrifice their lives to neutralise an enemy in order to ensure the flood carry on to exist.
Exploding Flood are cool because they are the ones that give those frantic, panicking moments in levels where you encounter the flood. This is mainly because they are there when you least expect it, so they explode just as you're trying to get the hell out of the way. Its great when you run round a corner and find one. It falls to the floor, you think "Holy Crap!" and quickly try to evade. Really keeps you on your toes!
Flood Infection Forms are simply there to try to take over your body. Remember if it wasn't for your shield then you'd quickly become one of them! They can be annoying when you can see one little red blip on the motion tracker only to find out it's one of them ainlessly running around. On the otherhand they can really make your close combat skills better because they always try to get close to you and they are small (making them harder targets)
Now I move onto JACKALS , now what is the point? They don't crack out any funny dialog, they cowar behind their little shields and they sit there, firing plasma at you like its going out of fashion. Simply POINTLESS in my opinion.
