no one seems to know what the 'W' in the EGATFIBGBCSIMAW acronym means. because all the other letters correspond to skulls this letter must mean one to but no skull begins with 'W'. well. i beg to differ, i think this letter represents the first skull, which currently goes by the names of 'cowbell' or 'unnamed'. because if you think about it, to get the skull you have to wait for Sgt. Johnston to say "Would it help if I said please?" which begins with a 'W'. so the true name of the skull could be 'Would it help if I said please?'

The unnamed skull is also often referred to as "whoopapotamus" (sp?). So that may be the 'w' you seek.

Nice of you to dig up the acronym. Here's a piece of what Max Hoberman went on to say.

I remember an interview with Max, but I can no longer find it. I copied and pasted this from another "quote" in one of the old skull threads.....

Max: Oh sure. You know, our original plan for the skulls was so devious that it was dastardly. Noguchi and I had concocted a scheme that involved certain actions in game that unlocked new options in a hidden UI menu, and then each skull's functionality could actually be turned on or off via a menu item that had to be unlocked on the virtual keyboard by the use of a special code per item, and the codes of course were going to be hinted at in the box acronym, but were otherwise pretty undecipherable because each referred to its own game functionality, which of course you wouldn't know about unless you were a pretty clever guesser or you had a dictionary and a heck of a lot of spare time on your hands. Luckily for all the egg hunters we simplified this plan!

Are you talking about our old TUE thread? Yeah, that interview is pretty interesting. But for the conspiracy theorists, it was apparently done on April 1st.
