Yes, there definetely needs to be a Halo 1.5 released. Halo 2 is a pretty cool game but it is completely different from Halo 1 which is the greatest game ever. So please go sign the Halo 1.5 petition as soon as possible. There are already almost 700 signatures and it's only been up for a few days.

Shot down by Recon. Ouch. Haha, he even managed to throw a "your mom" joke in there. Nice man, nice...

Anyway guys, Recon is right about everything he just said. Just for emphasis, here it is again....

I for one think that Halo 1 is far better then Halo 2 as far as gameplay. Bungie shouldn't even have called it Halo 2 since its a completely different game.

There is a petition of people who want Halo 1 on Live, aka Halo 1.5. Bungie has said this will never happen, but it NEEDS to happen. There are a lot of diehard Halo 1 fans out there who have completely shunned Halo 2, some even continue to play the original. So, add your name to the list of people who are hoping Bungie realizes what a huge profit they could make by releasing Halo 1.5 :-)

Bungie is not about profit. I would have thought that their fans knew and understood that.

Bungie is about making games that kick ass. Halo 2 is called Halo 2 because it's a continuation and sequel to the first. If they had made the "same game" do you even have a CLUE as to what the "fans" would be -blam!-ing about then? It's a new game, take a deep breath, tell your mom hi from me, and move along.

If you feel that "Halo 1.5 NEEDS to happen", allow me to make a more realistic suggestion than creating a petition. Create a game company of your own, hire the best people that you can find, see if Bungie will sell you the rights to use the Halo 1 engine (like Wideload did) and then get their (Bungie's) permission to make a 0.5 expansion pack for their 3 year old title.

Bungie are not politicians. Politicians react to petitions, because it shows them that they are about to lose what they value most, their position and power. Bungie are artists. You don't petition artists to change their art because you don't appreciate or like it.

There are people out there who still play Halo? That's great! There are still people out there that play Marathon too (soon to be 10 years old). So people that adore Halo to the exclusion of other Bungie titles are entitled to their fun. They are not entitled to order the creators around.

Fans who bite the hand that feeds them do not deserve to be considered "fans". Bungie adores their fans. I had thought that all Bungie fans adored Bungie in return. I am beginning to think that some "fans" should think about if they've been acting very adorable lately.

Oh yeah, Bungie.Net also has a "no petition" policy on the forums. Check out the rules and you'll see.
