I am getting really, well annoyed about quitters, whether they leave the game turn their console off or just unplug there connection. This happens all the time i go on matchmaking and I'm not on about one person im on about a good percentage of the team or opposing team like 8 vs 8 turning into 8 vs 1 or any other combination you can think up, I want to play big team battle games most of the time and instead it becomes a lopsided match the more and more this happens i start to think why should i play online i know i cant play the match i want so i may as well find some other game OR the best yet i wonder how much i can sell my 360 for.

for instance the last 6 games i played (3 of them tonight) ive won or lost due to too many quitters (whether the opposing team whimped out or it was just too many for me to handle)

if anyone thinks im wrong or wish to add to this go ahead.
i didnt write this to offend anyone so dont take offence (although as you can guess it is aimed at quitters)

w00t w00t to all the psychotic warthog drivers out there like me

i really do hate it when people quit a lot too. but, sometimes its good to show people up too. one time i was playing team slayer on truf ( 4 on 4 ) when two people on my team quit. The fact is that by the end of the game, me and my one teammate had a score of 50 when the team of four had a score of only 32, is that irony or what. But yea, 99% of the time, nothing good can come of quitters.

in some ways i think there should be a filter option so you can tick the maps or rule set that you want to play iwith that will probally cut down some of the quitters, the amount of times i play an assult and half my teams gone before anyone gets near to moving for weapons/bomb is rediculous (all because they dont like playing an assult.

Theres alot of rule sets i dont like and a few maps but I always stick around for the whole game, why is it so hard for others to do that too.

Quiters are what ruin Halo 2 matchmaking, while yes there are cheaters everywhere but thats onlly 1 every 3 or so games. quiters are more like 99 in every 100 games. Bungie should make it so anyone who quits/betrays/uicide's gets an instant 20 minute ban from matchmaking.

i like your thought but i was thinking if they did it say 3 times then they get a warning saying somthing like "you are 2 quits/betrays/suicides away from a day ban" that would be better in my opinion because with every one that quits youd be able to play a proper game very quickly

Maybe if you got a day ban if you got the 20 minute ban 3 times. this would also stop deranker's and team killers practically instantly aswell

I hate quitters. I know that if you play a big team battles, quitting should be expected, but EVERY SINGLE GAME I have played in the last month has seen at least half my team quit, while the other team still has 8 members. When I play, I expect players on my team to at least make an effort instead of quitting at the first sign of trouble. I understand that sometimes you have to quit (going to class, ect) but seriously, this is getting way out of hand.

If you have time to complain about somthing, then you have time to do something about it.
Make a party.

if they dont quit theyll just stand there and let other team get free kills, its better for them to get out of the game. But yeah i do agree, as soon as you start a game, Blue screen, 3 ppl gone on your team so you might as well quit.

I don't think quitters in Halo 2 warrants selling your 360. Besides in little over a month we'll all be on some H3 goodness. Although I am not a Habitual quitter (or in the case of Halo 2 I never quit no matter what). There are games when I first play and decide I don't really care about and I will quit. One game I tried to quit out of was Lost Planet but either you can't quit midgame or I could not figure out how. Instead of turning off my box I finished out the game. Imagine if quitters had to turn off their console just to quit a game. I think it would cut down on quitting alot.

I honestly dont think you should be penelized for suicideing other than point loss. If you do it 6 or 7 times, then yes, a 20 min ban would be good.

I think they should NOT do anything about it. They should work on Halo 3. :P

IF they DID do something about it, though, they should do itlike WoW does it. On WoW, if you leave a PvP Battleground (different kinds, but its basically just little mini-games like CTF, Territories and the like) early, you can't join another one for like 10 mins. So, in Halo, you quit a MM game early, you can't join another MM game for 20 mins.

Im complaining about ingame quitters, after all if i dont join matchmaking i cant quit in a game, but meanwhile all of those quitters still "play" until either they dont like the game or the s**t hits the fan and they go quit coz they dont want to loose
