So who here has purchased H2 PC? Do you like it? you like the new maps? Do you like the fact that you need to have a HUGE system even to run the game at low settings?

Does it bum you out that there is barely anybody playing the game? Have you noticed that there is more people playing H1 PC then H2 PC? Damn, at most there is 30 people online playng H2 PC! Damn that sucks! I will be puting my copy of H2 PC on ebay for no more than $30 if anyone is interested.

Happy gaming!

Halo 2 is a very big game, and especially for the Vista installment, it is very, very new. Don't be so harsh. Vista, as an operating system is very new too and very few people have it. Halo PC has been out for a very long time like 3-4 years, and it's not like evrybody goes to the bungie site to hear about it! Spread the word, since not too many know that it's out! Also, you can just desperately hope for a 360, since all the Halo PC games are kind of secondary to the real shebang.

Whoever buys your copy of Halo 2 Vista will have to deal with Microsoft whenever they enter your key... make sure you put that on the eBay page.

But in all seriousness, you doing this is hurting the community, when instead you could be persuading more people to come and join the fun. Halo 2 Vista has great potential... if only we had more people. But Halo 1 PC was close to this... small at first but eventually grew to what it is now.

I'd just use XBox. vista sounds awful compared to the XBox. Probaly not going to even bother buying it.

I feel two ways I could answer this so ill just do both.

This game would be good if we got more players and more silver gametypes to choose from... Allow silvers to make their own servers with silver only options. Basically its only good if you have gold... and pay $100 for a game.

On the other hand, I'm glad no one is playing this game, for it was just pushed out to get more money with minimal service to it.

Tough question.

h2v itself is a superb game, and could surpass all multiplayer halo 1 experiences, it has so much potential.
The single player campaign is worth $20 alone in my opinion.

Whats holding it back?

1. Vista as a requirement. Scratch 90% of the player base with this.
2. Hired Gun's total apathy towards the h2v game community. (These are the dildo's that ported h2v) These jerks could and should have released a patch addressing some of the issues by now. Heck they wont even comment or confirm they are working on a patch.
3. Live - it just -f''ing- sucks.
4. Silver limitations, pure plain BS.

2 cents -biatches!

Correction:
Halo 2 had great potential, when it was in development. It's screwed over now. Even if they did release a patch fixing everything, the player count wouldn't be close to what Halo PC's is. Just look at Quake 4 for example. Raven Software screwed up the multiplayer part of Quake 4 - It got bad reviews, and it just wasn't worth buying. Fast forward to a year later, id software takes back their game, patches it, gives new features, gives new maps, rebalances everything, fixes the netcode, and a whole lot more. The player count has probably jumped up about 50 people, max, and that's on a good day. Everybody has read the bad reviews on Halo 2 Vista. It's burned in their mind "Halo 2 Vista - Don't buy it." A patch really wouldn't do much, because most players won't give the game a second chance. And in all honesty, I don't blame them, I probably wouldn't either. And the fact that Hired Gun hasn't even patched (even the most simple bugs) isn't helping either.

The game is screwed. End of story.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

It wasn't worth it for me. Doesn't run right on my custom PC. Planning on selling my copy.

I bought Halo 2 Vista on launch, and yes, it was a waste of money. But in a few more months it'll be "big" when more people have Vista and the game.

I need your AIM or xfire. I have seen your specs and I think your issues can be fixed.

If you don't have at least 2 GB of RAM, and a Video card, chances are you're not going to run this game very well.

My Xfire is node357. I tried to send you a PM here but it got blocked for "potentially harmful content". Sorry for not getting back to you, vincent.

Okay I have both Halo 2 on Xbox and Halo 2 on Vista.
====
I find H2V to be an overall better version of the game.
- Better Graphics
- Achievements
- 2 New Maps
- Map Builder
If you like Halo you need this game.

While most PC people don't use this service it's actually really good, I've been a subscriber for about 4 years now, it's worth to upgrade your Silver account to a gold one.

I just got it yesterday, and personnaly, I love it. Of course some of the controls are a lot different. I stopped playing halo 2 on the xbox for three reasons:

1) A lot of cheaters at the lvl where i was at
2) Got boring after a while (it will obviously happen again... does it with every game)
3) Cost

I don't know if I should be getting GOLD, I'm wondering if more people play that... like someone else said... there is like 30 people at most on it, I've noticed that it's a little bit higher than that but it will never beat xbox live matchmaking, there were always people on.

Note* Someone will eventually make it work on another pc without vista... My friend broke up his xbox and put it in his computer casing. It was still connected all right, he just had two sources on his LCD screen.

I'm sure someone will manage to get it to play on a non-vista operated machine, as well as MAC

Roffle, even with the specs that most Vista computers have when purchased form a store arent enough to run the game. You would have to spend at least $2K on a computer to be able to run H2V, and it not even be able to run at full resolution. The other thing that pissed me off was, you have to use your XBOX live account to play multiplayer. THAT IS G@Y. So they suck you into having to pay for a LIVE account. Whatever, Im staying with my H1 PC game. I guess Im gonna cancell my xbox live account, cause H2 xbox still sux with no dedicated servers and all those overseas laggers!

Peace

I cant believe your even asking that question.......

Playing Halo 2 on PC for about half a second is better than laying on the beach, soda in hand, watching hula girls belly dance......

In other terms, its awesome. It's even better if you have completed Halo 2 on Xbox. Probably the best part about it is you can build and play on user-created maps.
