But in all seriousness, you doing this is hurting the community, when instead you could be persuading more people to come and join the fun. Halo 2 Vista has great potential... if only we had more people. But Halo 1 PC was close to this... small at first but eventually grew to what it is now.
Correction:
Halo 2 had great potential, when it was in development. It's screwed over now. Even if they did release a patch fixing everything, the player count wouldn't be close to what Halo PC's is. Just look at Quake 4 for example. Raven Software screwed up the multiplayer part of Quake 4 - It got bad reviews, and it just wasn't worth buying. Fast forward to a year later, id software takes back their game, patches it, gives new features, gives new maps, rebalances everything, fixes the netcode, and a whole lot more. The player count has probably jumped up about 50 people, max, and that's on a good day. Everybody has read the bad reviews on Halo 2 Vista. It's burned in their mind "Halo 2 Vista - Don't buy it." A patch really wouldn't do much, because most players won't give the game a second chance. And in all honesty, I don't blame them, I probably wouldn't either. And the fact that Hired Gun hasn't even patched (even the most simple bugs) isn't helping either.
The game is screwed. End of story.
