Getting that amount of money, without having to do actual work, would be the high life. And again, its not like you would have no life.........because again, its comparable to the time you'd spend at school/work, or just work if you're out of school.

Um I don't care how much you get paid, spending almost half the day sitting in a dark room with no real human interaction and playing the same 5-6 gametypes on an old game over and over again is not the high life.

Who ever said that they play in dark rooms. When i play video games i turn all the lights on.

So you'd rather go to REAL work and get paid less every day? okay

I can't go into one game without people talking trash over nothing. I hate it when they lose and start saying "OMG you suck I could PWN you any time". Usually its little kids, but not all the time.

Huh? When have I ever said that? I took offense at you calling playing a video game ten hours a day, the "high life"

Answering your question if my career had job security and advancement opportunities I would take the less money for the time being and not have to worry about game developers making competitive games, praying that I'm going to be good at the next game, sucking up to little teens so they can be on my team, ect, ect.

Its not the playing for 10 hours thats the high life. Its the getting 250K over three years to do something as easy as playing a video game, then having the rest of the time to do whatever you want because you don't need an actual job. That's not exactly roughin it.

Oh, Halo 2... NONE SHALL PASS THEE

people are friggin arseholes on Halo2, after all the time it's been out and the countless flaws in the game don't you think they would realize that it's just a game that no one should ever break a sweat over, let alone go on an all out loser shouting spree about every stupid detail of how they either killed someone or died in a cheap way that they use every chance they get? "OMG the noob used a sword/shotgun/sniper/BR/Vehicle/CrouchWalk/NoobCombo/whogives ahellanymore......."

PS: i just love how bungie got rid of the halo2 cheater email, so now the standby losers (who still get hard thinking it's cool to win without trying) never even have the 1 out of 50,000 chance of being banned like they used to, they just run free yelling with their elmo voices about how kewl they were that last game when their mom came in the room and they still managed to talk trash without her hearing.

EDIT: yes i modded, i was a lousy dirty cheater who often times let the other team win cause i honestly just wanted to have fun, and I DID...... but then again, that was over 2 years ago.

Young and old often times forget its just a game, and tend to care about something that doesn't matter...Too many people complain, too many people yell and scream, too many people talk trash about how good they are at Halo 2 online. Fact is, they usually are really unliked at school, really small, and unable to express their feelings to real people. The young ones express themselves by cussing and screaming while their parents aren't at home, and the older ones scream: Wow, don't talk kid. Wow, get owned you just got quadshotted in the face noob. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow kid don't even talk look at you rank. (Take note, all these kids have a bad social life)

Me and my friends never take this seriously....we get on, we play whatever we feel like playing, and our main goal is to make each other laugh no matter how far we take it.

i dont mind ppl taking it seriously if its a ranked match but when your just having a bit of a bad run and keep getting spawn killed or sniped from god knows where and all you can hear from some foetus screaming at you 'HOW HARD IS IT TO SHOOT SOMEONE NOOB' and swiftly followed up by 'LEAVE SO WE WIN YOU -BLAM-'
i tend to just stay quiet but sometimes it gets annoying,im the same level as these screamers and apparently i could only have gotten there off the back of better team mates
this above was a rant i heard earlier until 1 guy in the team finally snapped 'HEY KID,SHUT THE HELL UP,WE HEARD U THE 1st 20 TIMES'''
after that there was silence lol....and yes,we lost, but i didnt die the most
every1 has bad runs now ans then

The biggest problem I see happening to the "pros" of Halo is that Halo isn't going to be around forever. I'm guessing it will be popular for maybe 5 years or less. Regardless, the longer it's popular the bigger the problem is going to be for these players. Who is going to hire someone who puts down "pro video game player" under the Previous Employment section? Maybe McDonalds or a car wash, but no half-decent employer will. Especially when the person looking for a job has never had a real job before, and is 30 years old. Oh well, I'm sure they have a plan.

I'm just going to say this about people. Its a very subjective question because there are too many answers. People are different. I could say too many people play WOW. Then other people would say no. Many people play during the night. Hell many people have normal lives with families and play alot. Theres nothing wrong with trying hard and taking it seriously. Its in our nature not to lose and people hate losing so they will take it seriously

Being on-topic is not my style. I prefer to be around the topic, beside it, or all up in the topics grill.

Some of the real pro's are making names for themselves and I know at least the ogre's are going to College. Being a Pro at video games only ruins your life if you make it your life.
