I followed you untill the last paragraph. After that comprehension totally went to hell.

You got that far? Wow you are a genius.

the point is...
1. time travel is possible. einsteins theory is somewhat flawed in the fact where as if u were too travel fast enough, time slows down...its been proven
2. nothing escapes a black hole, not even light.
3. read "String Theory" or mabey brush up on other RECENT theories

he is right

Actually #2 isn't, a while ago scientist discovered that some known Black Holes are emitting Gamma Rays (and maybe X Rays), so that does escape black holes, and to say that just because light can't escape a black doesn't say that nothing can. maybe the escape velocity of a black hole is just more than that of the speed of light, so maybe something traveling faster can escape black holes.
Gamma Rays and X Rays travel at the speed of light, so how could they escape and light not be able to? I don't really know much about this stuff, I'm just wondering if you've heard anything or have theories.
Now common physics states that faster-than-light travel is impossible, but I read something about an experiment with having two similar particles, and they spun one in one direction, and the other instantly started spinning in another direction, they measured the time it took for the other to start spinning and did the math to the distance between the particles and found that in order for the other particle to "know" to start spinning in the other direction, some sort of 'information" had to be traveling faster than the speed of light, and I think thats where it gets into wormholes (if I remember right, it's thought that a wormhole of some kind exists between the two)
I think you're talking about how electrons spinning around the nucleus also have their own rotations. If one is spinning one way, the other must be spinning the opposite way, and if one changes the other immediately changes. I think that's what you're talking about.

time travel is possible my genious friend from Princeton Univercity explained that to me im not retelling the whole thing basicly you have to go realy realy realy fast

emphasis on realy if you didnt notice
I think what your friend was talking about was that if you went faster than the speed of light you could see the past. Since you would be traveling faster than the light being emitted off of you, you could look back and see yourself. This doesn't count as going back in time though.

the black hole give's out gamma rays.....and anyway...arent gamma rays ....well....rays....lol....

just looked it up: the black hole canter is so condensed that it realises radiation and gama rays in the black hole..therefore does not realise them entirly

Umm... no they do emit gamma and X Rays, Scientists can detect Gamma and X ray radiation from Black Holes, just ask Stephen Hawking.

Eww Geometry... you aren't doing proofs are you? those things suck. But Constructions were ok, it was just drawing.

You won't kill your great-great-great grandfather becuase it would have already happened and you wouldn't be alive at all.

What I am saying is that it would be impossible to change what has already happened by going into the past. What you would do is cuase events that have already happened to hapen in the first place.

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

If only people payed attention to Back to the Future......

How do we know if we haven't already changed the past. The altered past would be our past. We could be living in the alternate universe of someone else. Think about that....

Hello.
during my French mock GCSE exam today, i was thinking about space-time and stuff.
We live in a 3 dimensional universe. To represent this, imagine stepping back a dimension, so our 3-dimensional universe is represented by a 2-dimensional membrane, and time (the 4th dimension) is represented by 3 dimensions.
According to Einstein, gravity is caused by large masses creating a 3 dimensional dent in our 2D membrane, therefore drawing in matter around it. A black hole would create a hugely steep and deep dent in our membrane that no matter or light or even space or time could escape from. If there are parrallel universes (represented by more 2D membranes side by side, like the sheets of paper in a book), and supposing there was matter so dense that it made a huge dent in space and penetrated the next universe. This would be a "super hole" and due to the process of diffusion, the matter from the membrane universe with more matter in it would flow through the hole and into the next universe. This would appear in the next universe as a "white hole", or, to express it another way, a huge explosion of matter, space, time and light from a small place. Sound familiar?
Now, supposing the membrane universes were connected like a roll of tape in a huge loop, this would mean that time is infact a loop, that continues infinitely. A "super hole" connected to 2 places in the loop would cause matter transfer through time, for example matter/time/space/light would flow from the time of the "big crunch" (if it happens) to the time of the big bang. THis would effectivley mean that time travel is possible.
What do you think?

*tries to understand post* ooooooooooo. Quarter to six.
