2 days ago i was playing trouth and reconciliation on legendary skill level, after i killed all the guys at the beginning of the chapter "into the belly of the beast" i had used up all the ammo for all the weapons there, (except for 3 plasma pistols that had the ammo of....84, 72, and 68) and the hunters came out. and i killed both of them solely with plasma pistols

it was the last level "the maw" and i was in my warthog about to finish the level on the runway path and all the sudden there is a thing of bombs and i shouted to myself "Get out of the car! Get out of the car!" and i abondoned the warthog just in time and the warthog hit and blew up and landed pretty far away and my best moment in co-op legendary was the same thing happened but i was with my brother and we got out and he ran to the ship and i almost made it but in the cutscene u could see me falling down getting killed by the flood.

When I was driving along in my Warthog with 2 marine passengers, I hit a massive hill going at full speed and the vehicle performed five full flips in midair before landing right-side up again, with all three of us still intact.

oh, a nother one happened to me just today. i was in the fifth level (assault on the control room) after i got out of the snow, after i had to abandon the tank. i went into the room, and in the big room in there, there were 2 elites, and like 20-30 grunts. the grunts were sleeping and the elites were awake, the first one was just standing there, and the other one was actually wlking around. i meleed the first one, no prob. but the second elite was harder, but i eventually got him, but before doing so, i saw a grunt sitting on a little ramp thinger. so i punched him and he went flying backwards right infront of the ellite, and the stupid-ass didn't even notice it, so i killed the elite with a gank to the back. and then ganked the rest of that area, without alerting anyone.

that was so fun

Playing with my girlfriend and beating the Maw. so happy, because she wouldn't stop shooting the carriers so when they poped I was driving over them...took over an hour on the drive itself!

I have an experience that owns all of them. Here it is.
I beat Legendary.

Yeah, my best moment would have to be finishing it. I felt a sense of acomplishment, was invited to the White House, had a ticker tape parade, etc.
My favorite things to do in solo legendary are stealing the banshee in AOTCR, making it through the first room after you leave the tank without firing a shot (melee everything), and getting through the engine room without having to get down in the Maw, in other words once you get to the 3rd level, stay there, destroy all 4 and escape to the elevator. One reason is because it's such a pain if you have to fight your way back up to level 3.

  • 08.28.2007 10:04 AM PDT

Yeah, fighting your way back up there was a huge pain in my "shut yo mouth!".

Do people really take the stairs down to the other side to get back up?

I'm sorry but I honestly don't understand your question. How can you take the stairs down to get back up and there are no stairs are there, just ramps, and you can only make it up to level 3 on one side of the engine room...I think...?

Yes, I meant ramp sorry. What I'm trying to say is that after destroying a reactor, do people get off and take the ramp down, go back to the other ramp and get back up?

Ever since the first time I played, I always rode the shaft back to the platform and jumped back onto it, ready for the next one.

My best moment in halo 1 on legendary was probably when I was driving a warthog and accidently drove off the cliff but then a grunt threw a grenade on the hog and I got blown back onto the ground.

Yeah that's the thing to do but sometimes you have to find cover somewhere or jump down to level 2 for a health pack or go back to the armory, etc.

I'd rather be in a real life Resident Evil than ever go back to the armoury. It's freaky >.>

Yeah it can get pretty freaky when you're being slapped around by invisible flood.

  • 08.30.2007 10:14 AM PDT

Oh BR I love you, and all that you bring
When I am with you, I feel like the King
I love when you're there, no battle I dread
I can always depend, on your three bullet spread
So join me in raising, your glass for a toast
And drink to the rifle, that I love the most

i was playing coop on AotCR, the second outdoor section, where you can drive into the middle tower (with the two invisibles). My buddy was driving, and right before running over a grunt thru the narrow pasage he stuck the warthog. I saw this and shouted get out, i was already off the back when the sticky blew up, killing my friend and sending the warthog into a massive spin which detonated ALL of the grenades dropped by all the grunts and elites he'd just flattened. SOMEHOW, i managed to survive as the whole place shook for a couple of seconds. We were crying with laughter and my friend turned to me and said, 'How did you survive that?!' before i could reply the warthog landed on me and killed me. Tears were literally streaming down my face....

It's not so much that than the fact that you go in, there's lights over all this ammuniton, then the music plays, and the back of the room has only the red lights of a locked door, and then it opens as i stare at it down the scope of my RL......

lol, howd u survive? usually a grenade that sticks to a warthog in legendary is a kill, except on the marines (which have no energy shield and much weaker armor, and they survive) those bastards. lol. but seriously, how did u survive?
