Subject: A question about Halo T-shirts

Is it at all possible to post pictures anywhere on the internet, say redvsblue.com for example, pictures of custom Halo t-shirts that I made without the Bungie staff bearing down on my ass, not sell them to anyone but just to post pictures of my skillz and be a show off?

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Technically, it would be a copyright violation for you to make the shirts in the first place. But if you're not trying to sell them, it all seems pretty harmless to me and it would be odd for anyone to complain -- especially if you made it crystal clear that they are not for sale or distribution in any other way.

At the same time, none of us here in the Community can make that call, so don't take any member's word for it, including mine... this is something that Bungie or Microsoft has to answer if you want to be absolutely sure.

Skillet was here and referred to himself in the third person.

I doubt the Bungie staff would care. As long as you're not trying to pass them off as actual Bungie or Microsoft items and you don't try to sell them...it's the same concept as a hand drawn picture of Master Chief or the Halo 3 logo on the side of a car in Forza Motorsport 2.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Exactly. Bungie has always been very encouraging about fan art. The Don Wan has a drawing of the Master Chief as a tattoo. Although it was drawn by a then- (and, as a matter of fact, now once again current-) employee, AGDTinman, she did not have explicit permission to use the drawing as a tattoo. Frankie put a picture of this tattoo in a news article (which is where I know most, if not all, of this from). Far from cracking down on copyright infringement, I would say.

And anyways, the worst case scenario is that someone asks you to take down the pictures and not do that anymore. Microsoft isn't sending the lawyers after "some kid" for showing his appreciation of a game.

Exactly thats what I've been thinking, I'm not selling the shirts what so ever I just want to show everyone and your right. If someone did get a Halo tattoo and shows everyone without selling it, its not like Microsoft will force him to shead his skin until it comes out and neither would Bungie (I don't think).
