is there gonna be a FLAMETROWER it would be class some one hiding in a forest so you set the forest on fire and the person runs out burning and he slowley dies unless theres some water on the level so you can get put out. and if you run out of FLAME in the FLAMETROWER you can run up and hit em.

one of the biggest dissapointment for me in halo pc was the flamethrower. it took a game which requires skill (besides rocket) and put a gun that someone who was less experience could just run around getting lil kills with it. I dunno, added a bad taste to the game in my opinion.

There's a flamethrower in Halo PC that fits that bill perfectly...

It looks like an old jet fighter with the shark paint job.

a flamethrower is too low tech for halo or halo 2

i remember reading that there was no flamethrower in the first halo because bungie said it would need to light every possible thing on fire. it would have to be perfect. that means every tiny object in halo 2 would need to be burnable possibly making loading times longer. thats alot of things to fit on a disc.

Flamethrowers are useless and unbalanced, no.

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

No it wouldn't be too low tech, humans still use an almost unchanged version of grenade, and weapon ammo, and flamethrowers have a tactical advantage rifles don't, but I still don't want it in Halo 2.

Firstly, you mispelled FLAMETHROWER in the subject line... (we're off to a great start here)... and secondly, the weapon sucks. Not only does the design look cartoonish, but the weapon detracts from the game itself, as it requires no skill to use, and really - when you think about it - is very incongruent with the rest of the game. I say leave it out.

Amen brother. That and the fuel rod cannon are why I avoid non-friend multiplayer games. Both were just too powerful and easy to use. For instance, in what ways is the destructive power of the fuel rod comparable to the rocket launcher? The thing can take out entire teams from half a map away in a faster and more efficent manner.
