We should help spread the word, encourage everyone to post a comment in that site. I think its necessary that we as a community give back in any way possible. Its a necessity that we support Peter Marks in any way we can!

Thus, is there any other way we can support Peter Marks other than the comments? I personally would like to help, and I imagine many people would help in any way they could.

Perhaps one thing: post Get Well Soon Peter Marks!! in your sig ?

"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can't accept not trying." - M. Jordan

I'm not really sure what to say, but you have to believe you can beat it if your going to survive. Hopefully you are getting the best care and this is going to be a very fixable problem. I love Hang em High...Best wishes.

To anyone who knows:

Will Peter be needing monetary assistance? I don't really know what kind of swank people at Bungie take home but then, I don't really care either. If half the people who visit B-net gave even $5 I'm sure it would help with what will surely be an expensive battle.

As an avid gamer I've never really gave a hoot about the programmers. Not that disliked them but none of them has ever seemed to care about their players like Bungie so I never really gave it a second thought until Bungie. That's why I care- respect is earned not given and all of Bungie has earned it. People say Bungie has changed the gaming community with Halo but I say they've changed it just by how they conduct business. Thank you Bungie and thank you Peter. I wish you strength of will no matter what.

Taxes do nothing to affect the share of wealth, since taxes are only applied to income.

So that's not even a part of the conversation at all, so it's pointless talking about it....

"for a "best" moral to exist, there must exist the "best" moral base. If the base of morality varies from location to location, culture to culture...then there can't be an absolute moral..

i wish him the best and hope that he realizes how he made us all so happy by making such amazing maps. i have amazingly rich memories of playing my best friend 1v1 on hang em' high about an hour before i got married, and i played what seems like 9 million matches on that map because it was nearly perfect for all gametypes.

he made a brilliant creation and it made all of us happier. i hope that he can be reminded of his excellent work during his time of illness. i hope that he will be able to perceive some of the joy that he created for all of us.

You guys shoulden't pray for him praying does nothing. All I can say is that theres a cure/treatment on the way from canada in the university of alberta. they are starting human testing soon and if it clears they will probably release it as a treatment for cancer, so if he can hold on for a while theres a .. better chance he will make it (and hopefully make more maps)

"Investigators at the University of Alberta have recently reported that a drug previously used in humans for the treatment of rare disorders of metabolism is also able to cause tumor regression in a number of human cancers growing in animals. This drug, dichloroacetate (DCA), appears to suppress the growth of cancer cells without affecting normal cells, suggesting that it might not have the dramatic side effects of standard chemotherapies.

At this point, the University of Alberta, the Alberta Cancer Board and Capital Health do not condone or advise the use of dichloroacetate (DCA) in human beings for the treatment of cancer since no human beings have gone through clinical trials using DCA to treat cancer. However, the University of Alberta and the Alberta Cancer Board are committed to performing clinical trials in the immediate future in consultation with regulatory agencies such as Health Canada. We believe that because DCA has been used on human beings in Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials of metabolic diseases, the cancer clinical trials timeline for our research will be much shorter than usual. "
