Hello All,

I picked up a Westinghouse 47" LCD 1080p yesterday and played Halo 2 on it last night. However, the left and right sides of the screen seem to fade in about 6 to 8 inches. By fade I mean a slight white cast over the sides of the screen. In the multiplayer lobby it is the most noticeable due to the contrasting background blue color. I'm just curious if this is normal due to the quality of the actual screen itself and maybe receiving some glare, or if anyone with the same brand monitor is having the same or similar issue.

Thank you!

Stupid question

But did you go into your xbox dashboard and turn on the High Definition settings? I don't know if that will help or not

RIP Halo 2.

Guarantee it's backlight bleed. Very common on (no offense) budget TV brands. Try displaying a solid black image and seeing how visible the white bleed is.

Yes, the xbox HD settings are on.

I have viewed a black image and the corners are pretty normally lit like any other LCD. One corner is a little brighter than the rest, but I assume it is from packaging and will fade over time. However, the fading or glared sides I assume is due to poor screen quality or material. Everyone is talking this LCD up like it is a must have, but I am not seeing it. Halo 2 looks awful on this LCD.
