So stop complain dude.

Love the grammar. I'm not complaining, I'm asking why.

"I have no words that would do justice to the atrocities you commit to the English language, as well as your continued assaults on the concepts of basic literacy and logical reasoning."

I never implied nor suggested it was fair. In fact, I implied the opposite. Indeed, the "play nice" rule is fairly subjective.

And I give second chances all the time. But I also expect people to understand that there are consequences for their actions. And some things are simply not going to be forgivable here. That's just how it is. Criminals may have their rights, but bungie.net users do not have rights here. Think of it like "at will employment." At any time, you are free to leave and never come back without any notice. By the same token, we are free to kick you out at any time, without notice, for any cause, real, imagined, or unknown.

We don't do that, usually. And there is a defined appeal process - Master mods and myself are perfectly willing to hear an appeal. Of course, you could easily make it worse if you act like a whiny child in doing said appeal, but I reverse bans all the time. I also deny appeals and increase punishments a lot too.

Either way, I don't see a problem with Frankie's occassional banning for people he sees as annoying - most deserve it either because they are being annoying or because it was funny. It is our forum, he gets to do that here. And you can always appeal it.

It's been like that since 2000, tom. I'll allways be bant. Allways. I bet you're one of them people who doesn't believe in second chances. Criminals still have their rights, even if they KILL SOMEONE. However, Achronos, I agree with most of your points, and I do agree that I have been bant alot, and I do agree I should NOT get a second chance, however, Frankie abused his powers. There isn't any fairness in it, even if he does it to me (I've probably been bant the most on this site)

Also, I would like a list of how many times I've been banned.

Gold text is just a flag on an account. Full control users of "site 1" (the non-group portion of bungie.net) and Super Users (me, runningturtle, sawnose, a few others) also show up as gold. Super Users are not subject to security restrictions at all, and thus cannot be banned... from anything.

Are there different levels of permissions for gold texts? Because i'm sure i've seen someone with gold text blacklisted before, and i know for an absolute fact that shishka was, though he wasn't gold. Lol-worthy all the same, though.

Why the hell are you looking at this? Get out.

And no group invites, you jerk. I'm not interested.

What would happen if a super user, in a sense, "lost it"?

Only since I feel like being a dick, but....couldn't you ban Frankie for never interacting with the other forums (outside of the News) even though he's the talking head of Bungie?

/guess not since he has the gold text

Start looking for dual WSTE-Ms and a TOZT.

If Frankie banned you for not really doing anything wrong, thats not very nice. But then again, we have no rights.

If you did do something wrong or have some kind of "history" then thats different though..

So we have a ban record Achronos? Like the mods know how many times we have been banned?

Yep. It's like the cops being able to run an NCIC (and pull the criminal and law enforcement history) on someone who they have pulled over for a traffic violation. Very helpful when deciding to give a first time offender a warning, ticket them because they have a pattern of violations, put the cuffs on them because of past incidents, or call for backup because of a history of violence.

For example, such would allow us to know that within the past month, that a hypothetical user has gotten a pair of 3 day bans (for replying to spam) and a warning. We can also see the details of each incident.

Hypothetically.

So thats how evilcam knew I had a warning and gave me a ban...

I always thought that in HFCS you guys had a thread that has a list of members that have warnings.

Wait a second that hypothetical user is me...

As far as I know Bungie hasn't succeeded in controlling the world quite yet.

So there must be some other site on the interwebz out there somewhere.

If you are having trouble finding them, a few years ago I made the miraculous discovery of a site called google where one can type in something such as "video game boards" and find a site to discuss what ever they wish to discuss, with a clean slate. And they aren't owned by Bungie people... so.....

I think i ought to get a prize for my discovery, at least 3 in fact. Yes there are in fact other sites not owned by Bungie, that you can start with a clean slate on.

So, you can basically just ruin the Bnet experience for people just for the hell of it?

While we're on the topic of going slightly off-topic, Achronos, did you EVER have the member or user ID of 2, instead of your current 1? Please tell me I'm not imagining it.

Since he's also the one providing that B.net experience for you in the first place...I do believe that gives him the ability. No Tom = No B.net. Seriously, I don't think RunningTurtle can tie his shoes let alone run this site without Tom

"That's about all that can be said for plots, which anyway are just one thing after another, a what and a what and a what.

Now try how and why."

I totally understand why frankie would do such a thing, if your going to act like an ass and insult him when he is trying to be helpful and provide insight into halo 3. Would you rather having to know nothing about it? It kind of reminds me of when people complained about the halo 3 beta being late when they were lucky that they got to play it at all. Count your blessings for once!

What are you talking about?
This is a discussion regarding the fact that Frankie banned people just because they made a joke about Frankie being a bad Halo player. Pay attention man, and you won't make a fool out of yourself.

Controlling fission events without incident since May, 2012.

You remember that split second after you accepted the User Agreement for Bungie.net when you blacked out? Frankie was busy taking your pride and innocence. Accept it.

So, if I send a pm to Frankie, or just post in a thread: "I'm way better than you in Halo, I'll beat you with my eyes closed!"
Is that enough to get banned?

I just don't see how things like that can be valid reasons for him to do so.
Anyway, don't get me wrong. I really like Frankie, and what he does for the community, he is awesome. But this just seems a little "over the top".

So...you're drawing the conclusion, from everything you've read and everything you know about Frankie, that he's a tyrant who won't accept any dissension? That's a bit silly. Some of you guys need to pick up a sense of humor. If you're really going to throw a fit over something, don't make it a temporary ban that is--in all actuality--pretty funny. Of course, it hasn't happened to me, so I can't speak from experience, but I imagine I'd just laugh it off and go out to the beach or do something...not nerdy.

Someone getting banned from this site is not the same as someone having their civil rights violated. It's like having the ice-cream truck guy refuse to serve you, for this week. Not only is it temporary, it was never an infringement on your life, your liberty, or even your pursuit of happiness.

True Recon. It really don't matter at all.
But that still don't justify that other people have lost their moderating powers when they did the same thing. When other people do it, everyone cries for his head on a stick, but when Frankie does it everyone stands in line to defend him.
Well well, life ain't fair. That's just how it is.
