I'm trying to create a party game so my friends and I can play. I have an original xbox because I can't afford a 360 at the moment. My friends keep getting the networking error message when they try to connect to me, but they can connect to each other just fine. I was playing on xbox live two weeks ago just fine, no problems, but last night I tried to get on for the first time since and I can sign into xbox live just fine, but can't join or host any parties. I am also unable to join any type of regular match such as TeamSWAT or even Rumble Pit. Suggestions??

Check if your NaT is open type in 192.168.1.0 into your web address and when prompted type in "admin" for username and either "admin" "password" or "1234" as the password (one of those should work if you haven't configured your router's settings.)

Then you need to forward ports uhhh.......I think 3074 and 80? Or is it 88.........

One of those two LOL. But you need to access your router's page to do this. If typing in the address doesn't work, you may need to dig a little digger for the page (your router model may have a specific one.)

I thought that it might have been the router, so I plugged my xbox directly into the internet source just so I could play, but still had the same results.

If that's the case then it's possible the people whos party you're trying to join having configured their settings to workable ones.

Also if you have a weak connection that may cause difficulty joining parties. People on DSL experience this a lot :-/
