Subject: New Way Of Cheating. Must be Stopped!!!

I don't know if this is the right thread to post this. So I'm sorry if it's in the wrong area.

Basically there is a new way of cheating going around and it's easily ruining H2. Yes, people still standby and possibly force host. Now it's even worse than just "Forcing Host"!!!

This is what they are now doing. They shut your router off. They go through your xbox live, and pick up your IP address and shut your router off. They overload your router with a bunch of data, and your router doesnt know how to react to it. It could be off for 30min - 24hrs. Mine has been shut off twice now, and each time it's because we are winning. Every game I've played now, I've been threatened that if I do not quit they will shut my router off. I play through to see if they really go ahead and do it. So far within "TWO" days it's happened twice. Makes me basically say -blam!- the game entirely.

You can bet your sweet ass it will be in Halo 3! So get your -blam!- modes ready to start complaining. This game is so based on cheating now. It basically makes you never want to play matchmaking ever again.

I don't really see how this whole thing can be prevented because people can use their computers to look up your IP. So, Microsoft should really get into banning serial numbers or something.

PS.

If this happens to you. You must direct connect for your connection to work. You'll have no luck with your router. Unless maybe you reinstall it and reset everything. Turning it off won't work, and neither will reseting it. You have to wait it out.

I think thats illegal. Im not sure.

It has to be.

It's happening, and right now i'm in middle of the waiting process cuz about 10 minutes ago it happened to me again.

I wouldnt know how to prove it so I could take actions against them. The data is purged like it always says, but for strait up proof. That's hard to prove.

It has to be stopped because it's gonna happen in H3 guaranteed.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

That is IP flodding, it's been around for awhile now, and it is illegal.

Your ebst bet is to call your ISP and see if they can track the suer who is causing the issue.

Well, this is some serious -blam!- this time. They are actually affecting our personal -blam!-, not just our "Connections".

The way I see it, we just have to act quickly, get the authorities to throw their collective buttocks in jail, and be done with it.

They are so incredibly stupid pulling this, calling them a monkey would be an insult to primates.

The Flood's resident metalhead.

You seriously need to report to somebody... maybe h2cheats@microsoft.com... maybe ms will take legal action.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

Report people who IP flood you to your ISP. You can also try to report them to Microsoft, via the email links on xbox.com's contact page.
