I'll bet most are asses. Most Halo players are asses, and almost all of the good ones are asses. Only makes sense that the best of the best are almost 100% asses.
But yeah, hardly any H2 players are pro. People come on these boards and say they're pro, they're not. Even if they have made money playing Halo, that does not make them pro. To be a professional at something, you earn your LIVING doing that thing - aka, for a Halo pro, they support themselves financially on their winnings at tournaments. Obviously, you have to be damn good to pull that off, to support yourself 100% by playing a video game.
Then there's the people who claim to be semi-pro. I'm not sure what they're trying to say, because technically there's no such thing, you're either pro or you're not. I think these are the people who win at neighborhood lan parties and like to brag about it.
Pros at anything are rare. In the sport of skateboarding, which has plenty of household names and massive, year-round tournaments with huge prizes, only like 2 dozen skaters are really actually pro skaters. I think the ratio applies pretty well to Halo 2.
