Problem with that is he and/or his family may need funds and I would like to see them supported. I think people will support it if they understand what a trust actually is. The bank holds the key to the account, sort-o-speak, and even the person or organization (if Bungie sets it up) cannot access the account, EVER, without a power of attourney signed by the person in whose name the account is set up. Trusts are a very common way to make donations to a person in need.
Cancer can be an extremely financially draining thing to face, putting aside the emotional and physical drain. Paying insurance co-payments can add up rapidly depending on the type of insurance a person has. If you've ever known someone that had to declare bankruptcy due to medical bills, you will understand why I would like to see this done for him.
Like I said before, its fine with me, more than fine its fabulous with me, if Bungie sets up a trust for him rather than myself. It would probably get more community support that way. But the idea has to be brought up for it to happen, however it happens. I don't wanna spam the community folder with a one on one conversation, but if you have more questions or are still skeptical feel free to PM me until if and when Bungie responds to this thread.
I for one will be sending something directly to Bungie addressed for Peter if I have to, if there isn't any community support for this. I know people can get cynical and jaded in this day and age, and I accept that, but I've seen this done before for people in need. Honestly, maybe Peter doesn't need it. Maybe he and/or his family is wealthy and has no need for money. If that be the case, maybe the trust can be set up to a charitable cancer research organization or something like you say. That remains to be seen though. Its not like all this has to happen overnight anyway.
