I don't really care whether hunting is fun or not, I just believe that its immoral to cause animals pain for a 'thrill' , or any 'excitement'. And since humainty has totally -blam!- up our environment already, I believe it is our duty to minimise our further impact upon it.

And, no, I do not believe in war. It may sometimes be a neccessary evil, but that is all it should be, the most neccessary evil of all and the last resort. The only war that I have truly believed in is WWII, because it was essential that the Naz!s be stopped. Almost every other war has been for political or unseen reasons, and has been a total waste of life and resources. The only soldiers that have my full respect are the United Nations peacekeepers, as they are dedicated to mediating disputes in unstable and dangerous regions in an attempt to atain peace. Apart from those, to me any other soldier is just a hired killer, nothing more.

I would say something about that U.N. part but sence it's political I won't.

I have quite a few things to say about the UN as well, but rules are rules. I have to abide by them.

I'm category two, as well: will eat if not tortured. I understand that the food chain is a natural thing, and I think it is natural that we eat ORGANICALLY RAISED animals. But most of the meat you eat is pumped with all sorts of chemicals where the animals live in harsh, harsh conditions. For instance, many of you ate a turkey for Thanksgiving that was grown in a huge shelter. In this shelter, thousands and thousands of turkeys are stuffed together under intense lights to keep them awake 24/7 so they do not stop eating chemically-modified grains to make them fat. Sounds pretty awful to me.

Also, I am strongly against using products that are tested on animals. I've seen some videos on the internet of animals being tested on in labs and it is just horrific. If all of you saw these videos, I'm sure you'd think twice about buying from a company that tests on these animals, as well. I urge you to look at this website (WARNING: do not visit if you aren't willing to look at some very graphic pictures of animals in bad situations) and give your opinion on animal testing afterwards.

I perfer not to see such things. But would you like it better if those tests and everything else was done to a human? I hope not, as sad as it may be to do to the animal a human life is more important. Don't get me wrong I think the animals' lives are important too.

Jesus Christ, sorry for being a pacifist....
And I'm not going to go further into detail with my opinions for fear of getting banned for being too political, but I'll just say this: to The Sarge, who mentioned Iraq...you want murder of innocent civilians? How about the 15000 (min) to 100,000 (max) estimated Iraqi civilian deaths caused by the Iraq war? Caused by 'our brave boys'. Do you find that extremely honourable?
And as for the thing you said about headshots: you're still killing an animal just for fun, and therefore I believe its still cruel. Just because we are the monkeys that became smart enough to develop technology and guns does not give us the right to murder any animal for fun.

i walk down the street and all i see is Steak, another steak, yuck theres some headcheese.

I dont really care about what i eat, unless the meat is used in a weird way.

Like dicing the animals entrails, stuffing them in its bladder, spicing them, boiling them for the better part of a day, and eating them.

Thats what Haggis is.

US Customs confiscated my cans of it when i came back from a trip to Scotland.

Damn hippies.

What's moral, is respecting Bungie's rules and not discussing political issues like the war's with Iraq.

What do you do if an animal is killed without regard for pain? Let it sit there? That could potentially be a lot of smelly dead things sitting around and not being eaten. If I were an animal that had just been killed, I would be a little angry about not being eaten. But that's just me.

Geez, sorry for trying to support 'my brave boys' that are fighting and dieing for the freedom I enjoy. Now you chew on this. My "headshot" comment was sarcasm. I'm sorry if you find that hard to detect. I don't even hunt. And as for your body count, that's severely overestimated. The current body count is placed between 14,563 (min) and 16,742 (max) (numbers found on www.iraqbodycount.net [try citing a source for your numbers next time]), and not all these deaths are a result of 'our brave boys,' but are also the result of "the breakdown of law and order, and deaths due to inadequate health care or sanitation." So I still find our soldiers honorable, despite the fact that they "murder" civilians.

If Bungie bans me for this, so be it.

Oh no, not at all. I'd hope that these tests could be performed on something other than both animals and humans.

Thanks, Sarge, for clarifying many things. I'd just like you to know that I totally agree with you on supporting our brave boys 'n' girls in Iraq. Whether you like to admit it or not, they're all selflessly sacrificing A LOT from their own free will (every branch of the Military is strictly voulntary) and that's something that is very honorable.

Also, it's true. A good chunk of the deaths are accounted for from suicide bombings, guerilla resistance, and lack of health care/sanitation.

Well, I said some political stuff. Sarge, if you're goin' down then I'm comin' with ya.

No, but there's a key difference:

The gutted pheasant/deer is already dead, the animal being electroshocked in the small cage is still alive.

Yeah, and the electric chair was used to shock Humans who were still alive.

Go protest that. It's a lot more sensible.

Also, I'd like to see some proof of the whole Turkey raising thing. That seriously raises some eyebrows. Like, for example, things die when they don't sleep long enough. That's why you HAVE to sleep. That's why ANIMALS have to sleep. If the turkey actually WAS being kept up 24/7, it would be dead before it could have enough pounds to be considered edible.

I question this greatly, especially after the estimated maximum 100,000 Iraqi civvie death "statistics" you gave.

I'd also like to add that the site she gave is a PETA-supportive site. Anyone who has any common sense knows that PETA is just a bunch of wackos. The protested the "Pirates of the Carribbean" ride at Disneyland because it had a fake Pirate robot shooting fake bullets out of a fake gun at a fake Hippo robot, which was "demeaning to the animal" and "supporting the suffering of animals."
