i have been playing halo for about 3 years now, and tell all my mate's that halo 1 is the best online shooter their is, then bungie gave us halo 2 which to be honest took far to long to come from xbox to pc, but after all the waiting halo 2 was here, like a little school boy i was excited to get on halo 2 see the new maps and the the new combat system, however all that waitting was a big disapointment as bungie had changed the lobby and the way players could chose from a list of dedicated servers, instead we got a matchmaking lobby where the game chose a server for us, taking away our option to see who was in that server and it's ping how many players ect, not only did they change the lobby but now the player who has spent £35.00 on the game now has to pay to play online with " LIVE " , so i have halo 2 collecting dust on my desk as i am not paying to play online, instead i have stayed with halo 1 , thing is most players who play these games are under 18 and cant afford to pay more money to play online, AINT BILL GATES GOT ENOUGH MONEY.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

1. You can choose what server to play in. You have a full server browser that tells you what the ping to the server is, what map, the players in it etc.
2. You don't need to pay to play online.

Alot of people went from H1PC to H2PC, and went back, because I agree, it sucks in terms of online multiplayer. Sadly, there's nothing we can do =).

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I can't play on some servers; the game says I need a gold account to join them.

Yeah, those are the ones that are gold only. There are plenty of others that aren't.

I just used my free month, and continue to play using the browser, as in h1.

Gold-Only -> User-Hosted Servers and some Bungie Dedicated Servers
All you can join if you have a Silver account is Bungie Dedicated Servers, and those are fairly limited by way of gametypes. If you really wanna experience the game for its full value, you have to have Gold. Sad but true.

Just one more reason why Halo 2 PC is a waste of money; Paying extra for stuff you get for free in other FPS games.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

Some of those hosted servers aren't worth playing. I'm satisfied with the regular Dedicated Servers I can access.
