The same incident has happened to other users in the past and a way to correct the problem is to clear your Xbox 360 cache.
Clearing it has been known to fix any “hiccups” with your Xbox 360 and may fix your problem. All it simply does is delete your console of all software updates so you’ll have to re-download them after.
1. Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the System Blade, and select Memory.
2. Highlight the HD symbol and press Y.
3. Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X.
You will see a confirmation message to confirm system maintenance, proceed.

Hey,
I recently got my 360 back after red ring of death repairs. I lost all my saves so I put in Halo 2 to download the maps again. I sign in, go to content download and sign in again. When it's signing in, the screen turns black and it reboots Halo 2 and I get the Bungie splash screen. I've tried again and again but I cant access the list of downloadable maps.
Any help?
