Subject: HELP!! Halo 2 doesn't work with live in my dorm room

Halo 2 is not working with live in my dorm room. I heard its because halo has its own server and it needs even faster speeds than that of broadband dorm hall. I don't know what to believe i was wondering if there was anything i could do! It doesn't even recognize a connection when it boots up and is in the main menu nor does it give me the option to sign in, and i can't sign in. Other games work with live and when i do troubleshooting the connection it says everything is fine, but halo still doesn't recognize it what can i do?!?!?!?

Oh ur Face , but wait maybe a host lag head shot ouch !!

It theres a connection in the room hook up to it and see if it will work for u. Or you can connect wirelessly and see if that works to if you have a wireless connection.

Who supplies the internet? Your dorm standard? They probably run a proxy.

Speed is not an issue, I played with almost dialup once.

do you go to a big school? If you do they should have a tech support center or something of that sort. I had to call them and give them my MAC address (you can find that in the dashboard) so they could adjust the router settings of my floor. I dont know how things are at your school but the guys at mine were very helpful and experienced at dealing with the problem.

"I'm a 40 in Team Spelling, but I have the most worstest time leveling up in Team Superlatives."

There is likely a proxy server or a web filter restricting your access. Depending on the size/type of your university, you likely need to contact either your Computer Services Department or your Student Government. They should have better answers for you.
