Hey guys, first I want to say that Im not saying the sword is stupid or anything closely related. Infact I love the addition of the sword to halo 2. Any avid halo gamer loves the fact that you can now slice up your opponents.

On the serious side tho, why isnt the sword a charged weapon like it is in single player? Too many times I find our team strating around the holding the sword.. It kinda makes it boring(sp). I mean we can do it, no problem there, but I would rather not have to worry about it...

Just think about it, give the sword like 3-6 charges, any great sword player will turn that into 3-6 kills, but at the same time it will also make the strats become more indepth and though out. Again this post is to get the views of people and see what they think.. Please dont use this post to flame me or the sword or anything of the kind as nothing good comes from that. Thanks for your time.

I posted a similar thread a short time ago only to get flamed, and had people assume I didn't know how to kill people with the sword.

Personally I feel it should be charged also, this would give it a "power-up" sort of feel, like the OS, on most maps (if your playing team slayer atleast) controling the power-ups ensures a victory, but the way the sword works now, you can pick it up grab it and then bring it to any point in the map, camp that area and you dont have to ever worry about the sword running out, this makes for very boring 1v1 games and for very cheap team slayer play.

However if you make the sword run out like it does in single player, you will make it so a team has to control the sword area the entire time to get it, not just spawn right next to it. This will also limit the ammount of kills a sword can get while its up. Also like most weapons in Halo2, it wont respawn until the sword that has been picked up has been dropped and run out of energy.

i lke the sword how it is but its sort of cheap in a way but so was the pistol and it dont take much skill to be good with both of them but i guess it could be charged
