I posted a similar thread a short time ago only to get flamed, and had people assume I didn't know how to kill people with the sword.
Personally I feel it should be charged also, this would give it a "power-up" sort of feel, like the OS, on most maps (if your playing team slayer atleast) controling the power-ups ensures a victory, but the way the sword works now, you can pick it up grab it and then bring it to any point in the map, camp that area and you dont have to ever worry about the sword running out, this makes for very boring 1v1 games and for very cheap team slayer play.
However if you make the sword run out like it does in single player, you will make it so a team has to control the sword area the entire time to get it, not just spawn right next to it. This will also limit the ammount of kills a sword can get while its up. Also like most weapons in Halo2, it wont respawn until the sword that has been picked up has been dropped and run out of energy.
