I only have one account. Who the hell is x Lord Revan x?

I plan on telling my kids that I wasted my childhood and adolescent years playing Halo.

Better'n Recon. He's all the way up to his forehead. But we're having trouble getting him in all the way. The man just won't give up.

we will be the first generation to actually grow up with video games...

You're darn tootin'! Branching off of Mr. Nubiam, because of the novels, ARG's, and such, Halo ain't just a game. So, yes, I will always have fond memories of Halo, which will be passed down for millennia.

Halo will be remembered by me for the rest of my life. And yes, I will probably tell my children and grandchildren "war stories" of halo. EG: "We were storming the beach when all of a sudden we realized that it was an ambush, we were being shot at from all directions........."

Oh yeah, and I'm keeping my original Xbox forever. Even though I hate consoles, my Xbox is the reason I discovered Halo, (got an Xbox and two games for my birthday when the Xbox first came out)

So yeah, I want to be buried with my original Xbox, along with the Halo novels and my massive Halo painting I did in art class

Ah Halo, how you have changed my live. Where would I be without my addiction to it, and my obssession for any story knowledge of it.
If Halo was never made, then I would probably be a lot worse off.

I am well over 20, but I can give you some general impressions. I certainly hope that Halo is in the childhood memories of anyone who grew up with these games. I have lots of happy childhood memories of playing video games that were, at the time, amazing video games in their own right. Sitting at home with the chicken pox (do people even get that anymore?), happily playing Super Mario Brothers 1 and 2 and Zelda; playing Duke Nukem 1 and Wolfenstein 3D in my parents' basement in middle school; Duke Nukem 3D in the last couple years of high school, in between football, swimming, and phone conversations with girls; online Quake 1 fragmatches in the first year of college where we'd get the whole dorm involved; and so on. It sure seems like it would make sense for people who are growing up now to have memories of playing the Halo games.

The Halo series happened fully while I was an adult, with the first game coming out after I was already out of college. But I was hooked immediately, as was the rest of the country. And I know that even though I have good memories about playing the game, there is nothing quite so happy or peaceful as a good childhood memory. So I hope that anybody here who is under 20 will not feel too silly in cherishing these memories of playing the Halo series. At the least, they sure do provide a good frame of reference for other good memories :-)

Man are you old!

j/k ;)

Halo will definitely be remembered as one of my greatest childhood memories.

"Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind." - Albert Einstien

I kinda will be, since Halo has been a part of my life since I was in grade school (6th grade?). Halo is a big part of my life actually, since it is what got me into everything that I am today, and is probably responsible for who I am. Actually, it is more likely Halo 2, since Halo 2 pissed me off so much that it made me join a community dedicated to hating it, and that is where my online interaction began. Then I joined XBL and all sorts of stuff opened up.

I probably won't preach the greatness of halo or anything, but I will definitely remember it.

You have been plundered by Cap'n IceWolfen. Arggggggggg!

Like that one dude from E3 07 said. There used to be star wars for the last generation. For this generation, its Halo. It's a great game not to mention that it has been the center for all of my past LAN parties. Those where the days...

They will absolutely remember. As the time they weren't allowed to watch TV or bug me at all. Sent to their room in silence while I bathed in the blue glow and surround sound of Halo's gone by. They have no idea what the game really is but they know when it's on...avoid me at all costs. Remain quiet with no sudden movements.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

I will remember Halo for the rest of my life but it will definitely not take the top spot. That honor is reserved for family and friends. Oh and I am just a little over twenty. (Zag, Foman, and B.B. keep quiet.)

That's like saying; "I love working for McDonalds, but I hate hamburgers." Unless you rue the day you became a ninja and blame Halo, then by all means carry on.

No. I am 31 years old. I remember Pitfall, Pac Man, E.T. (worst game ever), and Spy Hunter.

Ooohhh Spy Hunter!! Good one, I should've listed that too. And of course, we're not talking about the newer one.

Wait a sec, Foman, something just clicked. Quake 1? You didn't follow through to 3? IMO Quake three would still be the ultimate FPS, if it weren't for Halo(1,2,3). And Unreal almost sqeaked in for some credit. Still, we're almost on the exact same page. I almost forgot about Zelda (don't ask how) I think I could still get through that forrest section, up up up up left left left up right down, or something like that. Also, I bet if I still had an old Nintendo controler, I could still enter cheats for Contra.
