Correct. You need an AGP or PCI-E

In all honesty man, we're all for expanding the world of PC gamers. But I'd wait till you can afford an AGP motherboard.... the evidence suggests your processor is also going to suck majorly. Scrap together 600 bucks and you'll be able to build computer exponentially better than that one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was pretty sure it was better to go with PCI-e because of the upgrading paths you can take with it, unlike AGP, which last I heard, is 'ded'.

That was a good one, I admit, but you over looked something, if he has enough cash to buy a pc, he might as well buy one that will give him more options. (i.e. a mobo with PCI-e.....)

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

Dude, 6000 series Nvidia GeForce graphics card, AMD Anthlon 64 Processor +3200, ran Halo 2 PERFECTLY. 32 bit. colour. Yes, I am scared, too, at my strange and mysterious concoction.

yea yea i dont wanna the best quality only i wanna play >.< i hope get 20 fps+ xD

Gaming Systems:
Intel Core i7 720QM (4 cores, 8 threads)
4Gb DDR3-1333mhz
1Gb AMD Radeon HD 4650
Windows 7 64bit

Xbox 360 w/ 20Gb HDD (2008 edition) & XBL Gold.

The Radeon X1300 Pro would definitely run this game. Maybe even medium settings at 800x600 and getting 20+fps. But i'm not sure if the PCI bus would cripple it that's all. I have an older computer with a Geforce 5500 card, which is by far not as powerful as a X1300 Pro, but it's hampered slightly by that PCI slower bus.

You might wanna think about just getting a cheap, but upgradable, pc rig and working from there. There won't be a PC out there on the market now, unless it's using SiS/VIA Graphics of course, that couldn't run Halo 2 Vista.

  • 09.02.2007 11:37 AM PDT

Here: I have a PCI-E Radeon X1300 Pro and I can run Halo 2 at 800x600 at medium and achieve 35fps easily. However, one of the main things that is contributing is my Core 2 Duo and 3GB Gaming specific RAM. Just fo for a Radeon X1600+ or (not sure if perforfance is equal) GeForce 7600.
