Lockout, Beaver Creek, and Terminal >>>>>>>>>>>>Tombstone

Fix'd

I got like 34 kills in a Lockout Team Snipers match and continually get over 20 kills in Snipers on that map. I <3; Lockout.

Id rather play snipers in a pit full of dog crap than tombstone... really, almost all of the new maps are terrible

Both of them are. Desolation is Warlock but TERRIBLE. Only 2 BR's when there's a -blam!- upper area and only 2 ramps to get up there or those dumb inconsistent excuses for a man cannon. I think Shishka thought the Brute Shots and Sentinel Beams will save us.. whatta dick..

Wow... That is all i have to say to your post. Lockout is the best all-round map for almost any game type that is slayer oriented. Snipers is no exception.

If you are not completely rubbish then Lockout is a lot more then just a beatdown only level. That is actually one of the stupidest things i have ever heard, you complain about a map that has so many different levels and so many different strats.

Quick scope is not what you need to get better at snipers, not being a tool is what you need to do. You will be playing Halo 3 in just 3 weeks time, well if you suck at Halo 2 you will suck in Halo 3. Learn to play the game and not make excuses.

I hate when you people complain about XBL. Imagine all of us poor suckers out there that don't have good enough conections so we just troll the forums waiting for morons like you to post. Wow, you fail. Take the legendary emblem off, you do not deserve it.

Wow, you are an emo bastard and you fail at life. That is all I have to say about your post.

flavor flav, I prefer mid to long range but if I have to then I can get by in close. When I go into team snipers its usually by myself since not many of my friends are the best snipers. So I have to find a spot where I can hole up and snipe wihtout getting assasinated in three seconds. The problem with that is by then, most of the good spots are taken and its just spawn and die, spawn and die.

For everyone else, I'll say it again. I am not the best in close sniper. I do allright on lockout, better on sanctuary, and I do my best on maps like terminal and Turf. Yeah, I know turf isn't generally a long range map, but somehow it works out well for me. There is enough movement to keep the game from getting boring, but not too much like on a smaller map. I don't know, maybe I'm just one of those old farts that remembers sniper games on coag and actually having to play it like a real sniper fight. Hide behind cover for a few minutes untill they have to look elsewhere or they get sniped. Run like hell for the next batch of cover popping of a few rounds on the way. It gets you killed about half the time, but the other half they look where your bullets go and take him out.

Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get... but you can bet it will be chocolate.

I like the smaller maps better on team snipers. There's no host advantage. You may not realize it but when I play tombstone and i'm shooting someone across the map the head shots are never connecting... with host it does. On Lockout, the map isn't big enough for that effect. There's more close combat but thats where as a team you need to work to keep them from getting to close. If you have a problem getting beat down in snipers... then get your -blam!- team together.

Flav, I don't mean just sit there and do nothing for minutes. Even when behind cover, I'm always looking for new targets/threats. I try to move some, but its when I move too much that I seem to find all of the enemy team. I'll admit I do get into the habit of camping from time to time, but I try to stay fairly mobile. I also play more custom sniper games than matchmaking so I'm used to having these wide open matches. I've even played on elongation which can be a -blam!-. I've never played snipers on tombstone, but I have tried it on backwash. Its crazy, but fun.
