I have never had a large problem with cheating, mainly bc i think i had been to high of a level where cheaters get caught before they reach a 40'ish lv.. but i quit for a while and though ive never cared about cheating, and just thought "hey you have no life, go play wow." But now cheaters are messing with my internet, making it screw up for days.. this isnt cool and is not only effecting my halo experience but is effecting anything else that has to do with my internet. I dont care if its fixed for halo 3 but if not then it needs to be delt with.

plz someone respond to my email bluefir3@gmail.com with a response to if this is being looked at or if its an issue for halo 3

Thank you,
Bluefir3

ok first of all- i dont care how good a hacker someone is. there is no way your whole internet would go down, maybe just the XBL part- you have a bigger problem than cheaters my friend

Then go ahead and call up microsoft and tell them their multi million dollar networking system is getting hacked. They will just laugh at you. it is literally impossible. There was this huge thing about them paying a bunch of top notch hackers to try and break the system constantly so they can improve and fix it. unless you are playing against some sort of techno genius, which i dont think you are, then you need to report them because the IP addresses get recorded and then no one can access XBL from that certain house/apartment/condo etc. Im sorry to say, but it is YOUR PROBLEM, not microsofts or XBL or anybody elses for that matter. I think it is time for you to hire Geek Squad.

This IS a serious problem. It's happened before, but I don't know how to deal with it. Maybe just try to e-mail Bungie about who did it? Iceman suggests these people could be fined.

accually it is microsofts problem, if they arent taking action against it then then need to know about it, this is just as bad as peoples xbl accounts getting stolen.

well either way Halo 3 is right around the corner and i dont think anyone is in a hurry to fix Halo 2- hopefully an update will fix your problem but i havent noticed anything and still stand by my word.

RIP Halo 2.

Sorry buddy, but if your internet problems occur for days, it's not something someone else is doing. If you get flooded/DDoS'd, it only knocks your internet down temporarily while the router or modem reboots. So the issue lies with your connection, not the game.

thank you for giving a good answer, at least someone did. Many people have had worse internet and a friend of mine's college internet went down because of it.. ive never been one to care about modding, stand bying, bridging out, ect.. but this is dumb and is invading more than halo.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

You can't discuss cheating on the web site. As annoying as IP flooders are, you can't discuss them here, and no one here could really help you anyway.

You can call your ISP and report the abusers, because packet flooding is illegal. You can try to email Microsoft via their contact page on xbox.com too. Though, I don't know if that will accomplish anything.
