That's not going to happen.

There's a very specific reason why we do not allow certain forms of discussion on our forums. It's because we have no wish to segregate people by matters of politics, ethnicity, or personal faith.

Halo is a game, and Bungie.Net is a gaming website. So, as far as we're concerned, there's only one group of people that we cater to: gamers. Clearly this description of our target audience is very broad, and I feel the reason for that is obvious.

You are welcome, if you wish, to create your own 7th column group for people with interests similar to yours, and you may advertise it in the Classifieds forum. However, do not hold your breath for a public Bungie-made forum dedicated to anything other than our games and community.

I think that you should read the rules. There you will notice something about religious discussions. You will note that they are not allowed. A Christian Forum would be breaking the rules, so the chances of Bungie ever doing something like that would be small to nonexistant. Ah look, Shishka's already got it covered.

Religion like politics are a very touchy subject. Personally I am a christian and I think it is good for your faith that you are trying to reach out here but bottom line this is a videogame website not a religion or theology website. Good try. why don't you check out http://www.radioy.com There is also a list of other websites around I am sure you might find one you are looking for.

That wouldn't fair. If we had a Christian forum then we would have to add a forum for every religion practiced on earth. Or maybe the universe. If you want a Christian forum then make a seventh column group for Christians.

We need to start one for Haitian Voodoo, though. Everyone understands why that can have a forum but no other religious practices can.

Are you out of your F***ING mind! I mean sorry for the language but whats the point? Do you know what the whole point of our war is and halo is. Religions. Its probably not that straight forward but thats basically what it is. If this starts up an arguement sorry but I had to put my two cents in.

Your post would appear to have a point, but I see none.

Don't get blacklisted for exactly why religious discussions are forbidden.

You'll notice that every other Forum is in some way related to Bungie, while this is not.

You really ought to think logically. Do you see anyone going to a Christian website and demanding a Bungie forum? No, I don't think so.

I'm sure there's some Christian Forums out there somewhere, if not, you can get your own free one here, or if you want a Christian Forum just for members of Bnet, then go ahead and create a Group as said by Shishka.

I wouldn't want to segregate this community. The only things that people here have in common, is that the define themselves, socially, as Bungie fanatics.

I'm not going to get in to any religous debate, but I really do think that opening up a public board for use only by Christians is segregationist. Why would Bungie give one religion priority, and special identity within the forums? The 8th Column? For the 'chosen people'? Unless it would be open to all faiths, and respectful of all peoples, this would be tantamount to segregating the forums with a Caucasions Only Column.

I really don't see the point...

Oh crap, I hope shooting you in the face with this rocket launcher won't kill you. I don't exactly know what will kill you and what will not, and I really don't care to find out.
My sincerest apologies if you end up as a red carpet of carnage.

*Shoots the fellow in the face with a rocket launcher.*

Now I'm a christian, so don't take this the wrong way, but that would suck... then the muslims and the jews and the jedi knights would all want their own forums too... we can't have that now can we? and all this would piss them damn atheists off too, because them damn atheists get mad at any religion.

Damn straight! Hulk MAD, Hulk SMASH!!!

<ahem>

Anyway, simply take "forum democracy" into mind. Although, in some ways, this forum is more of a multi-dictatorship, when it comes to religion and politics, its more of a democracy; it satisfies the people, and the many factions of them, by not accomodating any of their needs and wants (sure, it could still be a democracy by going the other way (accomodating everyone's needs and wants, but that takes too much time and work...). And its definitely impractical on a website about a video game...
