Subject: Do your parents monitor/restrict your Xbox Time

Quit Ban - FIne by me. I'll enjoy the breaks.

My College dictates when I get to Play or Not, and some times it's not for days that I get to play. Guess that's the price to get a good education. (sigh)

Well dough, you are just 14. Your parents can tell you what to do and what not to do, you have no other option. Maybe talk with them about it but don't get angry, they are your parents.

OK

If you want to send a FR to BlueMonkey99. so that when they let me on we can do MM or a CG.

I'd tell mommy and daddy to STFU & GTFO of my life

  • 09.03.2007 7:17 PM PDT

my other account, if you are gonna send me an FR, send it to this account and my Main GT.

Im gonna graduate this year and ive been playing halo all through out high school. I honestly don't know how I'm not some major drug using dropout considering the freedom my parents give me. I'm only 17 and I can pretty much do whatever. I can go to parties and drink and they don't really care. My parents are more like my friends.

I have proven to them that I can get my homework done, then have all my free time to do whatever. Just do your school work, chores, and go to work if you have a job. If you finish your shool work without them having to constantly tell you to do it, i think they'll lighten up. Until then it's up to you how much freedom you have.

I get 2 hours. And I sneak extra time when my parents are out.

last school year my parents were only giving me an hour a day so when summer came i was really bored of halo 2 and i have barely played 360 at all this summer so when halo 3 comes out my parents can't use the excuse "u played all summer so now you should be outside" or some other dum thing.

if my parents restrict m time i will sneak like another hour cause both my parents work and no one is home most of the day

I'm 13 and my time isn't restricted. My parents are responsible parents, but my mum and dad trust that I will get my homework and chores done in the time that I'm not playing on the PC.

Oh yeah, and I didn't think colleges and universities had the right to limit your playing time. Ouch.

EDIT: I'm living in Australia and I don't know anyone that has their playing time limited. Everyone's parents are pretty laid back down here, so I think that might have something to do with it.

Send A Friend Request to Schloxictonkey if you need a good teammate and you are good

im 20, and I don't even live in my parents basement. Im still in my room but I can do anything I want and stay up till noon playin games if I want to. so no. they don't restrict my xbl time. being an adult sucks really bad. It REALLY sucks. I don't know how I can stress that. BEING GROWN UP SUCKS.

Nope. College does.

Never eat yellow snow, unless of course, you spilled your Mt. Dew!

Yeah I am so glad this stuff wasn't out when I was in college. I only had to keep Golden Eye from stealing my study time. Now, aside from work and my volunteer activities, the only thing restricting my Halo 2 time is my WIFE! She hid my Halo 2 disc once because I had been playing waaaaaay too much over a 2 week period and was interfering with sleep. A friend in Grad. School was constantly on during the summer and would call to see if I would get on. I had a week w/o it and had a few "guidelines" to follow afterward. Sex can be a great motivator to cut down on Halo time.

The only thing that could restrict my halo time is work, but it doesn't. Working overnights in a hotel by myself with nothing to do gives me about 6 hours a night where I can get paid to play halo. My job rocks, there is nothing to do and all night to play games. If I'm not playing halo 2 I'm playing halo PC. That just shows how boring some parts of Minnesota are.

No restrictions really. Rare occasions, but not usually. I monitor how long I play and such. The trick is to have all your work done ahead of time so you can say eh nothing else to do. Helps if you exercise too.

"Mum, I'm 26, I left home years ago, and I don't even have work tomorrow!"

"Ok mum. I'm sorry. I'll brush my teeth and go to bed."

Having gotten through middle school, and high school, and then some college on top of that, I have to say that your parents likely know what they are doing. They know you better than you know yourself. If they care enough to restrict you that likely means they have a good reason for it, and you should be glad they feel the need to be a part of your life.
I tell you that it is much worse to come home to parents who are indifferent to you. It sounds to me like your parents should restrict it, and in the mean time you can work on your grammar and toning down your use of curse words.

agreed^

not all of us still live with mommy and daddy- you need a third option like "dont have parents"

  • 09.04.2007 8:53 AM PDT

The older people can just replace that with 'wife'.

  • 09.04.2007 9:08 AM PDT

No, acnboy. Spartain Ken 15 is a lesser being. Much like the bacteria that lives in your shit.

I pity you guys. I remember bein that age. 25 now. Dear Lord, I'm glad I'm older.....

Just a tip to ya'all. When parents or whoever says that high school is supposed to be the best years of your life... it's crap. Its not true at all. Ya, with age comes responsibilities, but it is so worth it. College is the best, then getting out of college is the best, etc etc. Just keep the faith brothers. Only gotta hang on a lil longer!

A few months from being 16, and I'm only allowed on during Friday after school, and the weekend. Sunday at 8 p.m. goodbye Xbox for another week.

(I didn't know if anyone cared, but I'm in 10th grade.)
