I have had 2 Xbox 360's in the past 2 years. I received my new 360 from the Microsoft service center in Texas. The other day I go to boot up Halo 2 and I see a "loading" screen, before it gets to the Halo 2 main page. It loads to 200% and then gets the the menu screen. My friend says that happens to people who mod their 360's. I don't know how to mod a 360, I just got my 360 from a service center, could Microsoft have given me a bad xbox?

Has this happened to anyone else?

It happens rarely to me, usually if my disc is scratched. It doesn't happen only to modded Xbox 360s, if at all. Sometimes it loads fine, sometimes I have to clean it.

The first time I ever put it in my 260 I got the 200% loading screen - took forever too - happened second time as well. And for whatever reason, the loading times for the menu items are a hell of alot slower on the 360 than they ever were on my broken Xbox.

It happens to me almost every time I play Halo and my 360 is not modded in anyway. I purchased it brand new about 6 months ago and it is more due to the disc in my situation. I have 2 copies of Halo 2 and it does it almost every time on one copy and almost never on the other.

If I haven't played in a while, it will load... usually goes to 100 and starts again from 40. The disc is abit scratched though.

FISH OR CUT BAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have gotten it on all 3 of my machines. X-Box, X-box 360 and X-box Elite.
And not just going on line, even just playing the game.

Never eat yellow snow, unless of course, you spilled your Mt. Dew!

Yeah it happens to me plenty but not every time. I think it may have something to do with the emulator that the 360 uses to play the xbox designed game.

Edit: And my game disc isn't scratched at all. Rarely comes out of the 360 for that matter.

I get this almost every time I play after playing a 360 title game, but it doesn't crash ever so it doesn't bother me.
