I am not posting this because I don't like Legendary. I am posting this because I think it would be cool to be able to super customize your dificulty levels. What if you could go with presets of Easy, Normal, Heroic or Legendary, or you could do things to make a particular dificulty level setting more or less dificult?

Here is the idea:
1. Let us control a scale of 0 to 10 for enemy weapon strength, enemy shield strength, player weapons strength, player shield strength. AI skill level.

2. Let us tweak checkpoint settings. We could cut the number of checkpoints in half, or cut them to 1/3 of their original number, or if we really wanted to go suicidal we could just turn them off entirely.

3. Let us tweak amo abundance. We could set it to have an insane abundance of amo or make it scarce enough that you really have to be good to make your guns worthwhile.

In Halo 1 I wanted something harder than Legendary. It would have been sweet if I could have cut the checkpoints in half or in thirds for example. I doubt I will want harder than Legendary on Halo 2. I plan on finishing Halo 2 on Legendary and am well on my way, but I suspect I would like a souped up Heroic that is half way up to Legendary for more casual playing afterwords.

Anyway, I think that if we had the presets that exist, and the option to refine other settings that would be totally awesome.
