Just wondering how many of you would be interested in online Halo 2 and 3 tourneys with cash prizes. Entry fees would be between $5 and $50 per team. If enough are interested we'll hook it up.

We're willing to do tournaments for anything people will play. I am in shock that after all this time there are no well organized tournaments online that don't take months to complete. I would assume 1 to 2 day tourneys would be popular so if we see any interest I'll get it organized quickly and roll it out.

Cheers

Honestly, it would depend on the rules, how well prior tourneys had been run, how reputable the group running them was, etc. its not just as simple as, id throw cash at my xbox

That's a silly response to be honest. You think someone is going to come discuss them here to rip off people for a day then disappear with a few hundred bucks?

Thanks for the responses everyone, keep them coming.

Your right, groups who would be trustworthy wouldn't advertise a website on here, instead they would ask an incredibly vague question and have no backing for it. I am so silly to think that rules, how well run tourneys are, and the status of the group running them would matter. Silly silly me, next time ill sign up for a needlers tournament with open times for game red bar hosts, and prehaps even a money scam.

Right, because this being the official Halo forum it would be stupid to advertise here. You either have way too much free time or way too few brain cells. Either way, enjoy yourself.

I've played in a few tournaments online, and currently will be holding a tournament on the 15-16th. 4v4 Slayer $500 1st prize with a neutral host. Check it out http://www.H2sponsorships.com

Bungie should hold tournaments as well. Not everyone can get sponsored, and so for the right players its a good way to raise money to go to MLG tournaments... or just nice pocket money. :)

So let me get this straight, it would be dumb to advertise where you could get hundreds of hits in a single day? Yes, your right, the point of advertising is to get people to not notice you. You're a moron who hasnt posted crap in the last 3 months until he decided he wanted to make this self serving waste of server space. Have a nice day

No, you are just an idiotic waste of space with nothing to contribute to a discussion. I rarely post because I'm busy running multiple businesses and will now be starting another just to laugh in your ignorant face.

Halo 3 tourneys will be running constantly from launch day forward. Everyone but this idiot is invited.

i PuNcH KiTTeNs
Ghost of Blackout!
CluTch Rocket

Been playing Halo since 2001. I know my Halo.

I'd play in a 1-3 day Halo 3 tourney if they were FFA or Double Team matches.

lol, its all good. There isnt a need for me to rock his tourneys. See, people like him are the kind of people who enter their own tourneys, give themselves the easiest brackets, and DQ the first team that beats them

If its cool with you then Im good too.
I dont enter tourneys anymore because I've had some where the host just kicks the people that ruin his chance of winnng.

I'd imagine the only way to make it acceptable to UK players is to find someone that can host them and enough UK only players to make it worthwhile. Our max internet speed here is around 8 MBPs down and 1 MBPs up which would probably still lag to death for you.

Cheers

While this may be true it would be obvious that anything I was involved in was legit. I wouldn't even waste the time to slap together some badly managed tourneys as it is much better to run something above board and let it grow naturally.

Cheers
