No, I'm not a liar or anything like that. Nor do I have any secret information.

But I just noticed something, PS1 games like Prince of Persia are coming out on XBLA. So when the Xbox 720 releases, Halo:CE will probably be remade. After all the "pro" console will probably default with a 250GB Hard drive, and Halo;CE will easily fit as down loadable content. In fact the game is probably smaller then the COD 4 beta, or the Halo 3 beta, so it could theoretically be remade this generation (but not likely).

So it'll probably be an 800 or a 1200 arcade download with 250 GS, updated HD graphics, as well as the best feature: XBOX LIVE!!!

Its pretty sweet. Obviously its not confirmed, it might even come out on XBox 1080, but something will come out eventually. Eventually.

Despite what Bungie says, some happy go lucky company will probably attempt it like they remade marathon. I doubt Bungie would have agreed to a Marathon remake for Xbox or anything like that, 4 years ago.

After coming across numerous numbers of repeat threads regarding Halo: Combat Evolved remade as a 360 title (like an XBLA title), I've become quite tired of hearing this. However, now that I read your post, I think you may be right. Maybe it's because this thread isn't some pointless "BUNGIE REMAEK HALO 4 360 PLZ" or "Would you like to see Halo remade for the Xbox 360?" poll.

Now, as for the next continuation of the Xbox consoles, I'm not sure about a 250GB hard drive or that Halo will be remade for it, but maybe it could happen now. Although, it would take a ton of work.

I think it's quite possible. Not sure if it would be the next generation or the one after. I think a multiplayer-only version would be more probable for the next generation than a full version containing campaign as that would be a very big download. If I were doing it, I'd make it MP-only with a simple online interface, a HD polish for the graphics, and a few extra bits from Halo PC to round it out such as the FRG and a couple of extra maps.

It's a classic game and one of the defining moments of the xbox brand, so I don't see why it wouldn't be an ideal candidate for a legacy download over Arcade at some point. Just not any time soon. Perhaps as it approaches 10 years old. The restrictions for when it could be done are acceptable sizes for downloaded games, as dictated by the average internet connection and storage on the console, whether it's actually worth it from a commercial standpoint and enough people will want to play it again for old time's sake, and whether it's a true classic which has aged and merits a revisit. I think all of those will be satisfied in a few years time.

I'd love to see something like this one day, but as Kim points out patience with 'remake Halo CE' threads is rather low.

Si-!

I don't think so. Unless another company does it, Bungie is moving on.

you know the only reason it's called an Xbox 360 is cause it can do "everything" so in you calling it an xbox 720 is kinda far-fetched. I personally don't think they'll make another xbox for a few more years
