Why are all the marines made out to be supreme red necks? Every comment you read there is at least one guy that sounds like a complete moron (more in some comments than others)

"bee are's"

It's not so much that it bothers me, I'm just asking why?

What's up? I'm Anthony, from Maryland. I play a lot of video games, too many. Enjoying the Halo Reach Beat right now. Also Halo was kind of my life from the age of 11-14.

Ok I'm sure everyone has been to the halo3 website put up by Xbox/microsoft and Bungie. Well at first I just thought you could watch that little comic on the sentinals, but then when I went on today after not having been there for a while, I noticed 5 different sentinals I could click on and kind of revolve them in like a 3D kind of thing. I did not think anything of it at first, but then I noticed certain markings on these sentinals light up and you can click on them. My picture folder kept coming up but I clicked the x to get rid of the page, after cliking on the couple of markings on each sentinal I noticed the sentinal like opened up and video started playing. This video shows a sort of message, either human or Forerunner or both [I'm guessing] that give you short insight on their understanding of the flood and maybe their presence on the Earth. This took me a while to figure out but it was a very clever little sort of puzzle and it was cool. Sorry if you've already done/or figured this out, I just thought it would be a good idea to let people know. It's not a leak or anything, its an official Halo 3 website. Enjoy.

Wow, sometimes I think Bungie is full of it. Yeah I said it. Research into their weaponry? Fool someone else Bungie... Fool someone else.

Just these awesome pictures of the covenant weapons are going to keep me entertained until the next update, and eventually the release of Halo 3. Those pictures reminded me of that time on Team Snipers on Relic when I got under water on the map. Too bad you rarely even get a glimpse of an enemy where I was. While there, I turned to look down into the abyss where the death boundary was and started looking up and noticed that my Beam Rifle looked cooler than before and eventually I got it pointing in a certain direction in a special place that made it look awesome. I took a good amount of Match Making time looking at this and eventually I said "Look at that pretty Beam Rifle.” Then I got back in the game and honestly lost.

Private Message me if curious.

that's jokes, "Dead Man's Switch". You know u just didn't want us to pick them up in the first halo.
better yet, a theory could have been that the gun was attached to the biosigns of the lifeform and after they read no more, it would self destruct.

respect, peace out,
zaeet

Anyone else notice that it says the first time they saw a fuel rod cannon was in 2031.........the end is near

Yeah, I noticed that too.

Either it's another Bngie Mystery Mind-blam!-, or just a mistake. I doubt it's the latter.

No, it's a mistake. That section was written by one of the Bungie employees who didnt go on vacation. They just fixed it. Good, because i don't want to be startin a family when the foxtrot Covenant arrive!

sooo.... can we expect an update on anything flood related. ive noticed that everything has been focused on the humans or covenant. what about the flood??

im not saying i dont overly enjoy the updates we get, i am just curious.

I completely agree with you, the only thing that has been 'flood' related so far was on halo3.com. Anything about them for halo3 would be great Bungie, its just out of curiosity that I ask.

Awesome I can't wait until they get all the detailed info reguarding Covenant Weapons and such. Also more on their Philosophy and Religion too!

  • 09.07.2007 6:47 AM PDT

ok, so it says that the marines are able to use the scope on the beam rifle, i was just wondering how exactally that works, it doesnt physically look like there is a scope on it

  • 09.07.2007 7:05 AM PDT

The beam rifle only has 10 shots?! WTF???

If that's the case, there better be batteries to reload all the energy weapons. A la el Carbine.
