When I die please bury me deep!
Place an MA5 down by my feet!
Don't cry for me, don't shed no tear!
Just pack my box with PT gear!
'Cuz one early morning 'bout zero-five
The ground will rumble, there'll be lighting in the sky!
Don't you worry, don't come undone!
It's just my ghost on a PT run!

I'm scared.

Ah, peanut butter for dogs. They don't like tuna.

I've had my cat for over 13 years now, and I've called it "Family" for the longest time and it just passed away today...

This thread pisses me off. =/
Aw, you didn't even get a chance to try to get the helmet on its head! Sorry about your loss man, but you should get a kitten -- smaller heads :-)

... You have NO idea how much that just offended me.

Think of a brother or sister you have, around the age of 13.

Now, imagine them lying dead in the street and realizing you'll never see them again.

Now imagine some guy over the internet telling you "That's too bad, you won't be able to play video games with them anymore! Maybe if you go adopt another one.."

Go to hell.

You are comparing an animal that you KNOW is going to die around age 12-15 to a human being (brother or sister in the case you posted) which is your actual family.

What a terrible comparison. I bet you play as an elite. if you dont you should consider it..

You're an immature piece of trash. Maybe if you ever spent the time to have a connection with something else living other than yourself, you'd understand. They are VERY much comparable. It's not up to YOU to decide on how I feel.

And then you bring in Halo because you must act like an idiot over the internet to get attention apparently.

It's people like YOU that need to stay in school.

Thanks, buddy. i go to Colorado State University so that when i graduate, i can make more money in one year than you will make in your entire life.

Who is immature? you tell me i should stay in school but i am the immature one? You are posting to a gaming internet forum that your cat died and hoping people care. You came into a topic talking about putting a helmet on a cats head, obviously as a joke, saying that the thread pissed you off as if you were forced to open the thread.

How are they very much comparable? your cat lasted 13 years. thats average life for a cat. is average life for a human 13 years? -blam!- NO. Did that cat come from the same mother as you did? i doubt it, but its possible judging by your posts. Did that cat talk to you? probably not but like i said judging by your posts you probably somehow had a conversation with it.

They are not comparable at all and its stupid for you to even compare them.

You must have no compassion in your entire body to come up with some bull-blam!- like this.

Not to mention, I'm glad that you think that the college that you go to determines how much money you will be making when you have no idea what I am doing, how old I am, and such as well.

As for replying to this, I read through random threads, usually not even paying attention to the title, since a lot of whatever is posted here is junk. And to actually read some of this just tipped me off. Yeah, at first it just pissed me off a little, and then he offended me with his reply to it.

You, on the other hand are some heartless piece of work that I feel just needs to get trashed.

I'm done..I'm going to bed. I'm tired of this internet bull-blam!- trend of having to act immature to get the upper hand on someone.

or you could find a cat with a square shaped head.

It was suggested in a forum I created a while ago on this topic that the best route would be to start with a kitten and let it's head grow into the square peg shape. Takes time but would be more form fitted. The bigger problem though is will the cat allow you to put it's head in the helmet? My thread had a poll concerning how many kids or cats would die in the endeavor.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

To me, what's heartless is that Bungie is making us work this hard to get the helmet onto our cats. But it's totally worth it.

Aye, but many Spartans died as well and risked their lives to become what they are. With all great things comes risk, as is the same in order to create Spartan kittens to protect Earth from the Covenant. The lives of a few brave cats could save billions.

I never said the college i go to determines how much money i make. You said i need to stay in school, so i pointed out that i am indeed still in school.

I dont need to know how old you are. i can make my own assumption. This is a JOKE topic. An adult (over 14 in this topics case) would understand that its a -blam!- joke, and an adult would understand that at 13 years old a cat is nearing the end of its life no matter what.

I took this thread as a joke topic when I saw it as well. And I also well aware of the differences of a cat and a human in comparison. True if the cat is starting to show its age its inevitable that its going to pass on. But that doesnt explain anything about any bond that you share with it. Just because your an adult doesnt mean your not allowed to show any speck of emotion even if it isnt a human. Lets just say that your family gets a puppy when you were 2 or 3 years old and you grew up with this puppy for the 15 or so years it was alive are you going to toss it into the trash can and just plain out get another one?

But then again I also know that anything a guy named Sphincter says to me over the net shouldnt be taken with a grain of salt rofl. And no im not with PETA lol. I have had a couple of dogs pass on when I was younger and it hit me pretty hard considering all the other kids were ***hats when I was attending school.

Did he just compare a HUMAN BEING to a household pet?!?!?!

Wow. I cry when I read words like that. Since when do people think that a animals life is as valuable or more valuable than a humans? Ridiculous.

Anyway I had a cat which I loved...But I always remembered one thing. Its not my brother, my sister, or my child. It was my pet.

This thread is hilarious. I see why it could offend people but if your that type of person why would you open this thread? This is the internet where millions of people post from around the world. Move on, grow up, and leave it be.

If this thread were about 12-13 yr old kids rather than cats he wouldn't be saying a dang thing.....ironic huh?

Buddy, im not saying pets having sentimental value is stupid. my parents have 3 golden retrievers and i love them and understand that they mean something to me. However, i am NOT saying that being an adult is about not having a sentimental value. i said being an adult is understanding that they are going to die, especially if its 13 years old, and being an adult is about not taking something seriously, especially when its a topic about putting a helmet on a cat. Adults more than anyone have attachments to pets and i know this, and im not denying this. But for his attachment beign so hard to get on a forum and -blam!- to everyone and say that its so bad and we are heartless is just stupid and childish.

The only problem after that, of course, is how to get the helmet onto your cat without getting scratched to death. While Geppetto suggests a valium hidden inside a cat treat or can of tuna fish, cats are notoriously picky eaters. It may be much easier to sneak up on the cat from behind and simply slam it onto its head as quickly as possible. Be sure to have your camera ready, as the first few seconds will be the funniest!

Would it not be simpler to approach the sleeping cat, slide the Helmet onto it's head, and then to scare it into rapidly waking? Not only would this keep you relatively safe, you'd also achieve a far better picture.

Ultimate truth.

I love my cats too, but to be honest, I'd have no problem putting the helmet on one of their heads for a couple seconds. They're playful anyway and would probably just kick it off and run around.

  • 09.10.2007 3:02 AM PDT

10 Dollars to the first person to post a picture of their cat with a helmet on it, and 15 dollars to a video at least 20 seconds long with the cat running around with the helmet on.
