When I went to my freinds LAN party, we were joining online internet games on halo. When I pressed 'Get list' to get a list of hosted games available, my computer came up with less than 10 servers, when my freind had 376 servers...

I have turned off my firewall and it does not help.
Server filters are turned off.
Halo is an allowed program.
I tried running as administrator.
I have windows vista and so does my freind.
I have halo one full version.

Help is much appreciated thanks,
Faxmonkey.

I'm tall, white, and male. Therefore I am automatically the bad guy.

This is the strangest thing to ever happen to me while playing Halo.

Try a restart.

Sounds like you are using a hacked software key. I did that many years ago when I first started playing because it was given to me. Once I got it loaded using the "key" provided in the .txt file I found that I only had a few servers listed that were almost always full. I went out and purchased a real copy of the game and was amazed to find that it listed over 300 servers.

Could it be possible your version of Halo is not the most recent update?

I had the same problem. So I just gave up for a while. It was probably about 2 weeks or so that I tried again, and it worked.

If you are using one of the hacked versions of the no-cd patch, that will cause the problem as well. If I remember right, the no-cd hack only works up to the 1.04 patch level and cannot be updated. If that is the case, just buy the game and get legal.

Halo: Combat Evolved

Sounds like a V standard LAN Reciver. Class K Mabie?
