Subject: Cannot join my friend's party.

Both consoles are in the DMZ.
Both NATs are OPEN.
No firewalls on the routers.
All IP addresses are correct. (Triple checked, and I know what I'm doing)
UPnp is disabled. (Some sites say this helps)
We can both join other player's games just fine.
We both have Comcast. We live a mile apart.
We both get the 'Cannot join party due to network errors. Sorry about that.' error when joining one of our parties.

I know all the above is usually the problem, but in this case it isn't. Everything checks out.
Can anyone help?

Is his party open? Sometimes the simplest things are ones you forget.
Or try going to his house and setting up both Xbox and Xbox live up there.

XBL has been screwy for everyone tonight.

yes, party is open. And both of our xbox lives work fine. This problem happened before today as well, so it isn't due to the service down time.

What type of router are you using? You might want to try plugging directly into the modem. A friend of mine was having that problem, but bypassing his wireless router solved it.

Linksys Wireless N, with Linksys Wireless Gaming adapter for the xbox.
Please don't say "Don't use wireless" because it works fine with no lag at all even in big team battle.

My friend wasn't laggy either, it just wouldn't let him join our party until he quit using it.

T34m Sw4T FTW!!!!?

Life = Paintball.....End of story

One really simple thing that most ppl 4got bout is b4 u join his party, wait for it to say who all in the party....cuz if u dont wait 80% of the time it wont work. Because this happens to me and my friend and we both have comcast and live less then a mile away....and most of the time that will work or just mess around with it like try custom/mm might help
